Whitney Houston: Rep Dismisses Health Problem Rumors

Ever since pop diva Whitney Houston embarked on her six-date tour of Australia recently, she has been faced with a barrage of complaints. And while performing live to an audience in Brisbane on Monday, some fans even walked out of the concert early, highly disappointed.

Some disappointed fans asked for refunds, while others said she was off key and just looked exhausted. And according to a recent report over at abcnews.go.com, Whitney faced similar criticism from her fans, when she performed live in Sydney on Wednesday.

Whitney Houston: Rep Dismisses Health Problem Rumors

But it appears that all the backlash surrounding her performances, has now prompted Houston’s publicist Kristen Foster to release a statement, which dismisses the rumors that have surfaced recently suggesting that the 46-year old singer is having health problems.

“Whitney is in great health and having a terrific time on her tour and with her fans,” Foster wrote in the statement. Foster then carried on to write: “Her fans were dancing and singing along with her and Whitney appreciates their support.”

However, not everyone agreed that Houston was in such a fine voice for her first tour of Australia in 22 years. One concert attendee said that Whitney barely finished any of her songs, and talked more than she sang. And apparently, she kept stopping to towel off.

And it appears that the disgruntled fans have backed up their complaints over Houston’s performances, by posting video clips of the singer online. Have you heard and seen her perform live? Do you think she still has it, or do you think she is past it now?

Please tell us your thoughts.

These people complaining are so used to lip-syncing, dancing, overproduced artists that focus more on visuals, that they have forgotton what live sounds like. Whitney live has always been the same. She never sings a song the same. She is a musician and changes up her performances, she gives something new each time. Whitney has always had a towel, always taken breaks in songs. FACT whitney gave it her all and 99% of her fans loved her and her show. Those who didnt were expecting to watch a music video from the body guard era. It's a shame that the world press have just copied and paced the same negative articles from Australia. The Australian press edited video footage to make 'bum notes' the focus. On their morning TV shows they even used edited Brisbane footage to try and discredit the sydney show.

So if your expecting to go see Whitney and watch a music video from 20 years ago. Don't go!! If you love the new album (which is really good) or you are a true Whitney fan, or even just want to see a megastar who has triumphed over darker days return and literally sweat to giver fans what they want. You will not be dissapointed.
