It looks like actress Julianne Moore is making a return to the same show that started off her acting career. According to a recent report at aoltv.co.uk, Moore is due to make an appearance in the long-running CBS soap opera “As the World Turns.”
The afternoon show – which made its debut back in 1956 – has been slated to end its 54-year saga run in September. And it’s recently been confirmed, that Moore’s appearance will be a walk-on role, and may tape as early as Wednesday.

Moore got her start in acting on the soap back in 1985, playing the dual roles of half-sisters Frannie and Sabrina Hughes. That role earned Moore a Daytime Emmy Award in 1988, and jump started a career that quickly led to her big screen stardom.
At the moment it is unclear what role Moore will actually play on her return to the soap, but it’s likely to only be a small appearance, due to her busy schedule. Moore isn’t the only star to have started their career on the soap, Meg Ryan and Martin Sheen did too.
