As we have mentioned to you all previously, pop diva Whitney Houston has been facing some harsh criticism recently, after her live performances in Australia weren’t what her fans actually expected. In fact, some disappointed fans even asked for their money back.
But now, it appears that Houston’s tour promoter has offered fans an explanation, for the singers faltering voice. And according to a report at femalefirst.co.uk, the reason the promoter gave was that Whitney has refused to quit her smoking habit.

The R&B superstar took her “Nothing but Love” concerts to Australia in February, but since doing so she has been marred by complaints from both critics, and her fans Down Under, who claim that the singer has been struggling to finish all her sets.
Houston supposedly coughed her way through a concert in Brisbane recently, and was seen taking regular breaks to catch her breath. Her spokesperson denied the rumors of ill health, and tour promoter Andrew McManus has now given the true reason.
According to McManus, Houston’s breathing problems are caused by her tobacco habit. McManus explained saying that Whitney says she’s comfortable with the shows that she is performing, even though she knows that she is not hitting the notes like she used to.
