When you open up the Google search engine home page and see a different Google Doodle, it means they’re either celebrating an event, an anniversary, or even someone’s birthday. For the past couple of weeks, the Google Doodle has been honoring the 2010 Winter Olympics.
And for those of you who were wondering what the Google Doodle was about today, it’s celebrating the life of Antonio Lucio Vivaldi, the great Italian violinist, composer and priest, on the anniversary of his birth. Vivaldi was actually born on March 4th, 1678.

According to a report at abh-news.com, the Google Doodle apparently represents 4 violins. Vivaldi’s best known work is “The Four Seasons,” which is a popular series of four violin concerti. Vivaldi was influential, in the transition from baroque music to the classical style.
What I want to know from you guys is whether or not Vivaldi deserves a Google Doodle?
