He has already come under fire for his involvement in a domestic violence case, and now it appears that New York Governor David Paterson is facing yet another scandal. According to article.wn.com, he now faces charges that he solicited free tickets for a Yankees World Series game.
It is believed that Paterson obtained the free tickets for his son and a friend, and then possibly lied about his intention to pay for them. According to a report at Associated Press, he now faces penalties of nearly $100,000 and the case has been referred to the Albany County prosecutor’s office.

Reports say that there could well be a criminal investigation, into whether Paterson or anyone else gave false answers to questions that were asked by the Public Integrity Commission, and whether or not a check was backdated to pay for the tickets.
With Paterson already trying to hold onto office in the face of the first scandal, it looks like the ticket scandal will do even more damage to his political career. When speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Paterson said that he is intending on fighting the ethical charge.
