Whenever we see an advertisement for NBA, it’s hard not to see it without the face of Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James. And when you see LeBron James, you also see his jersey which has been adorned with the number 23, since 2003.
But all that might change soon, because according to bleacherreport.com, LeBron wants to change his Jersey number. And according to multiple sources, James filed the paperwork on Monday, to get the ball rolling on the number change.

The number 23 has become quite a magical number in the world of NBA, because it was one of the most recognizable names in the sport that made it famous – Michael Jordan. Since Jordan’s retirement in 1998, it’s been James’ number.
Some of you may be asking that all important question now: why the change? Well last November, LeBron said that the NBA should retire the number 23, making reference to Michael Jordan’s brilliant career. But nothing had been done since then.
So James has decided to get the ball rolling, and he now wants his jersey to have the number 6, which just happens to be his TEAM USA Olympic jersey number. And he has had success with that number – winning a bronze medal in 2004, and gold in 2008.
Do you think he should change his jersey number?
