John Travolta Still Mourning Son’s Death

Hollywood actor John Travolta may be putting on a brave face as of late, even when he attended the 82nd Academy Awards yesterday, but the “Old Dogs,” “Wild Hogs” and “The Taking of Pelham 123” star says that he is still mourning the death of his son Jett last year.

“We are working hard on healing, still,” the 56-year old actor told people.com at the Governor’s Ball that took place after the 2010 Oscars on Sunday night. He then went on to say that it’s going to be a lifelong project, and said that he appreciates all the support he’s been given.

Jett was only 16 when he died back in January of 2009, after he suffered a seizure at the family’s home in the Bahamas. Travolta’s “Wild Hogs” co-star Tim Allen said that his pal is coping quite well. “He is pushing through a very tough situation,” Tim went on to say.

However, on a lighter note, Travolta said that it was his wife Kelly Preston – who stayed at home to watch the 2010 Oscars – who suggested that he wear denim for the awards show. Travolta said that he didn’t like how his tuxedo pants were fitting, so Kelly said to wear jeans.
