Simon Monjack – widower of the late actress Brittany Murphy – has apparently started returning the money, which people had donated to a charity that was set up in honor of his wife that was named the “Brittany Murphy Foundation.”
According to a report by ecanadanow.com, the charity was set up at the end of 2009, shortly after Murphy’s sudden death. The proceeds from the said charity were apparently going to create and promote arts education, for children.

But it was recently revealed, that the charity had not been set up as a legal charity. According to Monjack, the charity only raised a small amount of $800. All of that money will now be going back to the people that originally donated it.
Monjack now says that he plans to resurrect the charity, but says that he will be taking the proper steps to establish the charity legally, through the IRS and the state of California this time. He also stated that he plans to use $1 million from his own pocket.
