Hollywood actors Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin became the first duo to share the Oscar stage as co-hosts last night, when the 82nd Academy Awards took place in Hollywood, Los Angeles. And some could say that they definitely brought a bit of humor to the ceremony.
According to an article on abcnews.go.com, the two 2 actors worked the room like a pair of Hollywood insider insult comics, singling out many of the Oscars nominees for some light, deflationary ribbing. And apparently, they started the ball rolling with each other.

After they had entered the stage by being lowered from the rafters of the Kodak Theatre, Baldwin introduced his co-host as “one of the most enduring entertainers of all time, Mr. Steve Martin.” Martin on the other hand, presented his co-host by saying “And this is Alec Baldwin.”
And that is how a lot of the night’s humor continued to be like. After a commercial break, Baldwin welcomed back the television viewers to what he described as “the biggest night in Hollywood – since last night.” It was definitely a good pairing in some people’s eyes.
