As we’ve already mentioned today, the 82nd Academy Awards – also known as the 2010 Oscars – took place last night at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. And what a night it was, with many stars attending the event to honor all the films of 2009.
And there were some well deserved awards given out last night such as the Oscar for Best Picture, which went to Kathryn Bigelow’s “The Hurt Locker.” Now we’ve already done a post on the winners this morning, but I thought I’d bring it to you in photos.

One of the first awards for the evening was the Best Supporting Actor award, which went to Christopher Waltz for his performance in “Inglourious Basterds.” As you can see by the photo at guardian.co.uk, he definitely looked happy when receiving his award.
Kathryn Bigelow’s “The Hurt Locker” won a total of six awards last night, and it was Mark Boal who picked up the first award, for Best Original Screenplay. A memorable moment of last night was when Ben Stiller presented the award for Best Makeup.
Stiller decided to dress himself up as a Na’vi from “Avatar,” to present the Best Makeup Oscar to Mindy Hall from “Star Trek.” Mo’Nique – who was wearing a blue dress – appeared quite emotional when she accepted the award for Best Supporting Actress.
