After all the speculation and rumors over who was going to be replacing Samantha Harris on season 10 of “Dancing with the Stars,” the announcement was finally made yesterday. And as we mentioned yesterday, it was Brooke Burke who was chosen to take over microphone duties.
Samantha Harris announced that she would not be returning for season 10, earlier this year. Apparently she quit the show to focus on other projects. Shortly after her announcement, the search for a new co-host to Tom Bergeron began, with Brooke Burke among the possible replacements.

Some could say that Burke is perfect for the job, as she appeared on “DWTS” herself in season 7, and even went on to win. She also has an impressive TV hostess history under her belt as well, including a stint on “Wild On,” “Smallville Backstage Special,” and CBS’s “Rock Star: INXS.”
But many fans of the popular reality series, may have assumed that Melissa Rycroft – “Dancing with the Stars” season 8 competitor – would get the job of co-host. She was even seen announcing this year’s celebrity dancers with Tom Bergeron, during “The Bachelor” finale last week.
