A-Rod News: Alex Rodriguez is getting ready to meet Feds

New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez – also known as A-Rod – has recently agreed to co-operate with a federal investigation of a Canadian sports doctor, who treated his hip injury last year. According to usatoday.com, A-Rod is preparing himself to meet with investigators.

Lawyers for Rodriguez are said to be setting up an interview with the federal authorities, and today he said that he expects to know the date of the interview soon. The site of the interview has yet to be determined, but A-Rod hopes it is in Tampa, so it doesn’t interfere with spring training.

“We have a good, healthy attitude about this so we’re going to tackle it,” Rodriguez said today. He then went on to say that the key thing for people to remember, is that it is an investigation that involves someone else, and that he is just there to co-operate with the authorities.

And it’s not just A-Rod that has been contacted either. U.S. investigators are contacting a number of major-league players, about their relationship with Dr. Anthony Galea, whose assistant was stopped at the U.S border with the human growth hormone last year.
