Following the devastating news regarding actor Corey Haim’s untimely death at the age of 38, it appears that his longtime friend and “The Two Coreys” co-star Corey Feldman has released a statement today, expressing his grief at the loss of his “best friend.”
According to a report at people.com, Feldman said that he was awakened at 8:30 am this morning, by his brother and sister knocking on his door. He then went on to say that they then told him about the death of his best friend and “The Lost Boys” star Corey Haim.

“My eyes weren’t even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face,” Feldman wrote. He then said that he’s sorry for Haim, his mother Judy, his family, all of their fans, and his own son, who he said he will have to tell when he got home from school.
He finally went on to say “This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family, and best friend.” A few of Feldman’s last words were for people to respect their families, as they struggle and grieve through a difficult time.
