Controversial radio show host Howard Stern – who’s been labeled a ‘shock jock’ – decided to slam “Precious” star Gabourey Sidibe on his radio show on Monday, viciously mocking the actress’s weight, and doubting her acting abilities.
At one stage, he called Gabourey “enormous,” and said that she will never be in another movie. In other words, he was implying her acting career is over. And the fact that Gabourey has gig name supporters such as Oprah meant nothing to Stern.
According to nydailynews.com, he even took a shot at Oprah at one stage, calling her a liar. But fortunately for the fans of 26-year old Sidibe, Stern has already been proven wrong. The actress has already landed herself a role in a new TV series.
Gabourey is all set to have a recurring role in Showtime’s dark comedy series “The Big C,” which also stars Oliver Platt and Laura Linney. And apparently, Sidibe is set to appear in a feature film “Yelling to the Sky,” later this year.
