Mario Lopez to Become a Dad

Former “Saved by the Bell” star Mario Lopez has already been named People’s Bachelor of the Year for 2008, and not it looks like he could well take the title for sexiest father alive. Yes that’s right folks; Mario is going to be a father soon.

According to a recent article on people.com, Mario’s 28-year old girlfriend is expecting the couple’s first child in the fall of this year. When speaking about his happy news, Lopez said “I’m really excited. I’m happy. I can’t wait to be a dad.”

36-year old former “DWTS” competitor Lopez – who is also the host of MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew” – and his actress girlfriend Courtney Mazza, reportedly met back in 2008, when Lopez starred in the Broadway show “A Chorus Line.”

When asked if he is ready to take on diaper duties, the actor and host said “Of course, I grew up in a large family. I’m fired up! I don’t know what we’re having. I’m going to wait to see the baby’s gender, so it will be a surprise.”
