Hollywood heartthrob Robert Pattinson may well be known best for playing the role of fearless vampire Edward Cullen in all the “Twilight” movies, but the British actor has recently revealed that he wasn’t so tough when he was a child.
In a recent interview with Parade magazine, Pattinson said “I got beaten up by a lot of people when I was younger.” He then went on to admit that he was a bit of an idiot, but says that he always thought that the attacks were unprovoked.

Pattinson – who can be seen in the new movie “Remember Me” – said “It was after I first started acting and I liked to behave like an actor, or how I thought an actor was supposed to be, and that apparently provoked a lot of people into hitting me.”
The 23-year old actor admits that he used his rough past, to help him play the role of the restless Tyler Hawkins in “Remember Me,” which opens in theaters on Friday and co-stars Emilie de Ravin, who’s also known as Claire from “Lost”
