American Idol Season 9: Matt Giraud and Scott MacIntyre Perform

Not only did we get to see who had made it through to the Top 12 and who had unfortunately been sent home in last night’s “American Idol,” but we also got to see two of the contestants from last season come back to perform Billy Joel’s “Tell Her About It.”

And the two that I’m talking about is Matt Giraud and Scott MacIntyre, who both competed in season 8. According to gather.com, Scott has been blind since birth, but he has never let that affect him when it comes to his singing and musical career.

Since leaving “American Idol,” Scott has spent his time touring, as well as performing on the “American Idols Live!” tour. He has also been working on his own music since last year, and is currently promoting his new album release “Heartstrings.”

Matt also spent a lot of 2009 touring with the “American Idols Live!” shows. Since being voted off the show last year, Matt has made several television appearances. Matt has released 2 albums, “Perspective” in 2003 and “Mind, Body and Soul” back in 2006.
