Shane Sparks – best known for being the influential hip-hop choreographer on Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” series – pleaded not guilty yesterday, to eight counts of felony child molestation that resulted from his arrest in December last year.
According to an article at eonline.com, Sparks, who was accompanied by his defense attorney Steve Meister, entered his not guilty plea, but other than that he did not address the judge at all, and he didn’t speak to reporters following the hearing either.
Meister also declined to comment yesterday, but back in December when Sparks was arrested, he told E! News that Sparks was in fact innocent of the “bogus accusations” and said he was confident that Sparks would be vindicated at trial.
All in all, Sparks – who is also a judge on MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew” – is facing six counts of committing a lewd act upon a child, and two counts of oral copulation of a person under the age of 16. He currently remains free on bail.
