Green Zone Movie Review: Matt Damon is breathless

There’s a new movie about Iraq that has just been released in cinemas, which is hoping to take the box office by storm. And the movie I am talking about is “Green Zone,” which stars Matt Damon – whose other films include “The Bourne Ultimatum” and “The Informant.”

The movie is set in 2003 and Damon plays Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller, who is head of a WMD-finding unit in Baghdad. After suspecting erroneous leads, Miller decides to go maverick in his attempts to trace the original source, raising eyebrows in doing so.

Paul Greengrass – the director of “GreenZone” – has in fact worked with Matt Damon before, on the last two “Bourne” movies. According to a review at telegraph.co.uk, Damon does a perfectly professional job with what he’s given portraying Miller.

  1. Bait & Switch says:

I can appreciate Mr Damon's politics. What I don't appreciate is paying $10.50 to listen to his politics. I go to the movies to be entertained and this film left me frustrated and feeling ripped off.

  2. Better than most says:

I knew what this movie was about before going to see it.
I liked the movie, was realistic enough and seemed to bring up the question of what the reasons were for the invasion. Remember the cost of this war has helped our country into its current position, not to mention the human costs.
There are many theories about why we invaded, it was nice to see this one. This movie would have done better if it had come out two or three years ago.
