Ever since it was announced that there would be a “Captain America” movie being released, many movie fans have been waiting for possible cast information. And last month, some information surfaced regarding a possible thought for the lead role.
Among the names mentioned were John Krasinski, Chase Crawford, Scott Porter, Michael Cassidy, and Mike Vogel. And now it appears we have some new cast information to give you. Only this time, it’s regarding the part of the villainous Red Skull.

According to abc.net.au, Australian actor Hugo Weaving is currently in talks to join the cast of “The First Avenger: Captain America,” as the villain Red Skull. The director Joe Johnston has worked with Weaving recently, in the “Wolfman” movie.
49-year old Weaving is best known for playing the roles of Agent Smith in the “Matric” franchise, elf ruler Elrond in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, and the voice of Megatron in the “Transformers” movies, as well as a supporting role in the recent “Wolfman.”
