It appears from recent reports that actor/director Mel Gibson, has decided to give up directing. Gibson has only directed 4 movies – “The Man Without a Face,” “Braveheart,” “Passion of the Christ” and Apocalypto” – but he wants to do just one more before he gives up.
According to screenrant.com, his very last movie as a director is an untitled Viking Epic, which will apparently feature Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role. Gibson is collaborating with Oscar-winning “The Departed screenwriter William Monahan and Graham King for the movie.

While speaking about his next project, Gibson said that it was the first movie that he ever thought about making, and says that it will be the last film he directs. “I think when it’s done I may be finished,” Gibson said. And I don’t think he was talking about his acting career either.
