There appears to have been a bit of controversy recently, regarding reports that suggested actress Kirstie Alley’s new weight loss will be funding Scientology teachings. But according to sfgate.com, Kirstie has hit back at those exact reports, insisting it’s not true.
After many years of battling her weight and size under the media spotlight, the former Jenny Craig spokeswoman recently launched Organic Liaison LLC. Members are said to pay between $10 and $149 per month to follow the weight loss regime.

And recent reports suggested that money from the said company was being chaneled directly into the church, after links between Organic Liaison and Scientology were discovered. The firm’s accountant Saul B Lipson is a known Scientologist, as is board member Michelle Seward.
But during an appearance on the “Today Show” recently, Alley – a practicing Scientologist – insists that the claims have no merit. “It’s bulls—t. It’s not true. The address in Clearwater is my accountant, and he’s a Scientology Jew,” Kirstie went on to say.
