Wonder Years Star Pregnant: Danica McKellar is ‘so excited’

If you are one of the people, that remember the hit American TV series “The Wonder Years” and you also remember actress Danica McKellar – who played Winnie Cooper – then you might be pleased to know that the star is expecting her first child.

The 34-year old actress, author and mathematician apparently confirmed her happy news with People magazine, that she and her husband Mike Verta are expecting the baby really soon. Danica says she is so excited, and was bursting to tell people.

Danica, who says she is nearing the end of her first trimester, and Mike got married back in March 2009, so they’ve only been married a year. After her time on “The Wonder Years,” Danica went on to study mathematics at UCLA.

She is also an author of two books – “Math Doesn’t Suck: How to Survive Middle-School Math without Losing Your Mind or Breaking a Nail” and “Kiss My Math.” She has a third book on the way, which is reportedly called “Hot X: Algebra Exposed.”
