Actress Lindsay Lohan has been known for getting herself into trouble and for receiving bad press in her time, and now it appears that she is in yet more trouble. Only this time, the “Mean Girls” and “Labor Pains” star could well be banned from the country of India because of it.
According to a recent report at celebrity-gossip.net, Lohan was in the country back in December, to film a documentary about child labor and human trafficking. While there, she started bragging about how many lives she had saved when a sweatshop had been raided.

Lohan took to Twitter and wrote: “Over 40 children saved so far… Within one day’s work… This is what life is about… Doing THIS is a life worth living!!!” But activists appeared to get offended by Lohan’s bragging, and the raids actually happened before she arrived in India.
This led to a closer investigation of her trip over there. That is when government officials discovered that she had actually broken India’s visa rules, by not applying for a work permit. According to the report, the government’s decision on the ban is still pending.
