During the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, both President Barack Obama and the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper made a friendly hockey wager, on who was going to win the gold-medal game. And now it appears that Obama has followed through on that bet.
According to a recent article at sports.espn.go.com, because it was Canada who won the gold-medal game on Sidney Crosby’s overtime goal, President Obama has now followed through on their friendly bet by sending a case of Molson Canadian beer to Harper.

Obama was also said to have thrown in an extra case of Yuengling – the President’s choice of beer had he won the friendly wager – to Harper. Obama’s top representative in Canada Ambassador David Jacobson, delivered the beer, and congratulated the Canadians on the games.
