Although it was less exciting and less spoken about compared to the Men’s Division, the 2010 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship was still a great game. The final game saw the Stanford Cardinals, take on the likes of the Connecticut Huskies.

And according to a recent report at worldcorrespondents.com, it was the Connecticut Huskies who won the game, with the final score of 53-47. During the very first round, it was Stanford who actually took the lead with a score of 20-12.

By the time it got to 13:35 on the clock, the two basketball teams were tied. However, that was soon broken when Stanford’s Jeanette Pohlen made a two-point jumper, which was assisted by Kayla Pedersen. The lead then changed in the 2nd round.

Connecticut soon took revenge on Stanford, advancing their scores to 20-17. The Huskies’ Kalana Greene and Maya Moore appeared to outshine the other players in this round. They both helped advance Connecticut’s score to a slight lead.

The Huskies then managed to make a huge lead against Stanford, during the next two 20-second timeouts called for Stanford. The game finished with scores of 53-42 and the Huskies being declared the 2010 NCAA National Championship winner.
