This year’s WNBA draft – a yearly selection of WNBA basketball teams from a pool of talented college and professional players – took place yesterday, April 8th. The first round was broadcast on ESPN2, while the other rounds were found on NBA TV and ESPNU.
And the results of the WNBA Draft 2010 are now all complete and we have them right here for you. In a lottery that was held last November, the Minnesota Lynx basketball team received the first overall selection of the WNBA Draft 2010, according to worldcorrespondents.com.

In the first round of results, the first basketball player to be selected was Tina Charles. Tina played for the UConn Huskies, helping them to win two undefeated women’s basketball national championships in a row. Connecticut Sun then traded up to get the pick for Charles.
The Minnesota Lynx – who had second and third picks – got two great basketball players. Their second pick was Monica Wright from Virginia, while their third pick was Kelsey Griffin from Nebraska. Chicago Sky got Epiphanny Prince in the fourth pick.
