UFC 112: Dana White post fight press conference video

Last night’s UFC 112 post-fight press conference wasn’t like many other post-fight press conferences, because it featured some rather harsh words from UFC president Dana White, who said he felt “embarrassed” by the fight between Anderson Silva and Demian Maia.

According to gather.com, White was particularly outraged by Anderson Silva’s actions in the bout, when he made a complete joke of half of the fight by dancing around the ring, and failing to engage Maia. His antics caused White to walk out after four rounds.

White continued on to call the match a “disgrace,” saying that he was “blown away,” “disgusted” and “saddened” by Silva’s performance. According to a Yahoo sports report, Silva’s antics in the fight were a repeat of his effort at the UFC 90 and UFC 97 events.

Dana White’s frustration is no doubt genuine, but it isn’t all bad for UFC. His post-fight press conference outburst has turned a forgettable bout into a memorable one. It definitely made an interesting press conference anyway. Did you watch the UFC 112?

well anderson is without a doubt the best pound for pound fighter. although the performance he put on might have been "emberassing". he still won and there isn't anyone that is going to beat him. So i say bring on GSP, bring on whoevever.

you really think he deserves to fight gsp??? he was a complete ass…he shouldnt be allowed to drop weight classes…he could have knocked out maia within 1 minute, why not do it? if i wanted to see a brazilian dance around for 25 minutes i'd watch real sex guadalajara on skinemax, not pay 50 bucks

I say as amends make Silva fight his good friend Machida and strictly enforce active engagement during the fight. He wants a worthy opponent, Machida is as good as GSP in my books and will make fans feel appeased even if most of us now want to see GSP take him out. He owes us for the crap he's been delivering. In short, Silva by no means deserves to share the same cage as GSP. Truth be told I would like to see Dana re-evaluate Silva's contract with the UFC.

Bring on someone who can challenge. If no one can get close who cares what you do – win the fight that is the name of the game

Silva won – who cares if the rest of the mob in the same division can not match him.. it is not his fault the rest of them are useless…. tell the rest of them to get better and let him toy with them till they do.
