Demi Moore returns from earthquake ravaged Haiti

There have been quite a few celebrities that have been out and visited Haiti since the devastating earthquake occurred in January of this year, and Hollywood actress Demi Moore is just one of them. Demi has recently returned home, from her trip to the earthquake ravaged island.

And according to a report at looktothestars.org, Demi appears to have found some inspiration while she was there. In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper last week, Moore gave an explanation on why she had visited Haiti, and told Cooper what she had found while there.

Demi Moore and her husband Ashton Kutcher’s new charity – the DNA Foundation – is focused on the sex slave trade, and that is exactly what Demi says is going on in Haiti. Moore says she sees the rebuilding of Haiti’s cities as an opportunity to address the issue of slavery.

“[Ashton and I] became aware of the Restavek system, which is about 300,000 children who are enslaved to do all the work, who sleep on the floor and in most cases it’s the young girls who are sexually exploited,” the 47-year old “Striptease” actress explained about the situation.
