As many of you may know – especially if you’re MMA fans – the WEC 48: Aldo vs. Faber event took place at ARCO Arena in Sacramento last night, and what a night it was. Did you all manage to watch the exciting main-card fight between Jose Aldo and Urijah Faber?
The fight may have gone to an unlikely decision last night, but it was definitely apparent who the better fighter was. The first round started off well, with both fighters landing some good punches and Aldo landing a few good kicks to both the body and legs of his opponent.

However, the rest of the fight appeared to go to the champ. Going into the second round, Aldo managed to pepper Faber’s lead left leg with a series of kicks. The crowd at Sacramento continually held out hope, that Faber would mount some sort of offense in the fight.
According to mmatorch.com, the 4th round actually became the most exciting round of the fight. Aldo followed Faber to the ground a few times, after sending him there with crippling leg kicks. Aldo then got into the most dominant position of the night, the crucifix position.
Faber kept trying to buck Aldo off, but didn’t succeed and the referee allowed him to survive. Into the fifth round of the fight, it looked like Aldo was just content in letting the clock wind down. The fight ended with Aldo being announced the winner by unanimous decision.
