It appears to be quite a while since “How I Met Your Mother” touched on the possibility of a Robin-Barney relationship, or even a Robin-Ted romance. However, last night’s episode appeared to toy with the idea of both prospects, but unfortunately ended on a sad note.
Last night’s episode – titled “Twin Beds” – covered that really big question: can you really just be friends with your exes? And when it comes to Robin and what we’ve seen in all the previous “How I Met Your Mother” seasons, it can be rather difficult but it is in fact possible.
Although things might just be different now that Robin is in a serious relationship with co-worker Don, who has only just recently found out that his partner still hangs around with her exes Ted and Barney. It turns out that Ted and Barney still have residual feelings for Robin.
Seeing Robin getting serious with Don made them both realize this, and they took embarrassing measures to tell her just how they both felt about her. Unfortunately for them though, Robin decided to move on further in her life and moves in with Don.
