Lil’ Wayne Caught With Contraband Behind Bars

It really seems as though rapper Lil Wayne just can’t keep out of trouble, even while he’s incarcerated. According to a recent article at guardian.co.uk, the “Rebirth” rapper has reportedly been caught recently with a contraband MP3 player, inside Rikers Island prison.

The items were apparently discovered during a routine check on Tuesday morning. Officials are said to have found unauthorized headphones and the charger for an MP3 player, wrapped up in an aluminum potato chip bag and hidden in his bin, an anonymous official told Fox News.

Officers then scoured the “housing area” where Lil Wayne is incarcerated, and uncovered a matching MP3 player in the cell of a fellow inmate. Prisoners are allowed to buy an AM/FM radio and basic headphones from the commissary, but not use fancy headphones or MP3 players.

Weezy and his fellow inmate will now be charged with possession of contraband, and some discipline can follow, an official said. Lil Wayne is currently serving a one-year prison sentence, for weapons infractions stemming from an incident in 2007.
