Hollywood actor Mel Gibson and his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva will be heading to court next month, for a hearing about their eight-month old daughter Lucia. The former couple is set to appear in front of the judge to fight over the welfare of their child, on July 20th.
According to a report at stuff.co.nz, Gibson’s lawyer Stephen Kolodny spoke to RadarOnline.com about the situation recently, and said: “His primary interest is in not having his time and relationship with his infant daughter, Lucia, interfered with.”

Since the couple split back in April, things have become bitter between them and Grigorieva has made a series of allegations that claim Gibson was abusive towards her. The Russian singer is even said to have filed for a restraining order against the actor and director.
After seeking the restraining order on June 21st – which reportedly barred the 54-year old star from any contact with 40-year old Grigorieva or Lucia – Mel’s lawyer returned to court the next day to have the order modified so he could still see his daughter.
Kolodny has also insisted that Gibson – who has seven other children from his marriage to his estranged wife Robyn – has been paying child support, despite claims from Grigorieva to suggest otherwise. “Mel has generously supported Lucia and will continue to do so,” he said.
