Martin Lawrence Ties the Knot with Girlfriend Shamicka Gibbs

It seem like it was a time for celebrity weddings this weekend. Not only did John Krasinski and Emily Blunt and Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher get married on Saturday, but Martin Lawrence also tied the knot with his girlfriend Shamicka Gibbs.

According to Ulrica Wihlborg at people.com, Martin and Shamicka got married in an intimate ceremony on Saturday, at the actor’s home in Beverly Hills. 45-year old Lawrence and 35-year old Gibbs are said to have exchanged vows in front of 120 people.

Guests included fellow actors Denzel Washington, and Eddie Murphy. The couple’s daughters, 9-year old Lyana and 7-year old America and Lawrence’s daughter Jasmine, 14, (from a previous marriage) all acted as flower girls at the ceremony.

After the actual ceremony, the newlyweds joined their guests for the reception, which took place under a tent. For the family-style celebration, events designer Diann Valentine arranged for two long tables to be set out in an “X” shape, so all guests could sit together.
