New Michael Jackson Album to Debut in November

We have a bit of exciting news for all you King of Pop fans out there right now, as a rep for the singer’s estate has just revealed that a brand-new Michael Jackson album – which will feature 10 unreleased songs – is due to be released in November of this year.

According to an article by Daniel Kreps at rollingstone.com, Jackson’s manager Frank DiLeo has estimated that Michael’s vaults contain over 100 fully completed and unreleased tracks. This is said to include the collaborations with Ne-Yo, Will.i.am and Akon.

When speaking to RS last year, former Sony Music CEO Tommy Mottola said: “Every time that [Jackson] recorded, he over-recorded.” Mottola then went on to say that Michael would always record anywhere from twenty to thirty songs, per album.

The new album of unreleased Jackson songs will be the first in a 10-project, 7-year deal that the Jackson estate made with Sony Music back in March of this year. The hybrid dance/karaoke simulator “Michael Jackson: The Video Game,” is also due out by the end of 2010.
