UMvC3 patch brings free DLC and changes
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 or well known to the masses simply as “UMvC3” has had a new patch, which brings many new features including free DLC and changes. Some of the free goodies include ‘Heroes and Heralds’ mode as well as a few fixes.
The mentioned ‘Heroes and Heralds’ mode is new, and allows players the ability to play as a fighter to save the Earth from Galactus as well as his crew, or you could opt the other choice of joining the group of miscreants, basically this is about good and bad, what path will you take?
Joystiq reports that the new modes main selling point is the “Ability Card”, this feature allows players to get extras for their characters with cards, these cards provide things such as power-ups like projectile immunity or an X-Factor burst.
The new UMvC3 patch as said above includes new fixes; some of these include Wolverine’s Spencer-assisted Swiss Cheese infinite combo and the Reverse World, and breaking bugs. The full press release explains all you need to know, so feel free to check that out via Joystiq.
You might be happy to know that the new patch is only 19MB in size, which is fantastic considering what it comes with. This article makes an interesting point about the file size for this update, apparently the PS Vita version of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 features the same addition, they raise a good point by thinking the content was already on the disk, with this small file size being a minor update to that content.
Looking into the PS Vita side of things, you may be happy to know that Capcom has revealed the Vita version of Heroes and Heralds mode will come as standard, the PS3 version can be shared with the PlayStation Vita version, for more information on this and a look at the trailer please visit PSLS.
