There is news that puzzle adventure game MacGuffin’s Curse has an official release date that we can now look forward to. Set to launch as an iOS, Mac and PC game we await a price and any other relevant information.
DIYGamer has let us in on the exciting adventure puzzler’s exact date of release being April 19th. As they also wait for more details there is bit more information on the developers for those who are unfamiliar with the game. MacGuffin’s Curse comes from the team that brought you Australian Game of the Year Jolly Rover and this title is a mixture of character-based story adventure and top-down action puzzling.

In an article on ShackNews, there is more on the story and what is to be expected. As players take the role of a charming thief named Lucas MacGuffin there is plenty in store when a stolen talisman called the Lupine Twine Amulet afflicts a curse that changes him in to a powerful werewolf. Using both the original Lucas and his werewolf character the aim is to try and find out a way to free him from this curse.
The stolen amulet from the city of Feyre’s Museum of Myths and Mysteries is not MacGuffins only problem, as he also has to try to convince the city that their most respected figure is a crook. Currently there is an iPad version in the making and the PC and Mac titles will both include gamepad support. Australian indie developer Brawsome promises that the two characters of werewolf and human will both have specialized abilities with a large character-driven story containing nearly 100 side-quests. Take a look below to see the official trailer.
Are you looking forward to MacGuffin’s Curse coming out in April? Maybe you are a fan of Brawsome’s Jolly Rover the humorous canine-pirate adventure? In its pre-release state MacGuffin’s Curse has already earned a coveted “Best Game Writing” award from Australia’s Freeplay Independent Games Festival.
