Love it or hate it, there is no denying how impressive the graphics are on the PS Vita. Okay, so there are some flaws in the new handheld console, such as battery, price and a few other issues. However, most of those will be forgotten once you get into a game, and two you should consider as your first choices are Unit 13 and Uncharted: Golden Abyss
The former will be released on March 6th in the US and the 7th in Europe. The latter is already available in Japan, but will be launched the same day as the PlayStation Vita hits the US and Europe. We just fear that sales of the Vita could be low at first, which means they would miss out on these two great titles.

There’s no getting away from the fact that Nathan Drake is such a loveable character, but for those looking for more action; then Unit 13 is for you. The two games are like chalk and cheese, which is needed in any game collection. Uncharted sticks with a story, and relies on this heavily within a game; Unit 13 is different in the way you only take part in short games, a recent article suggests it’s more like those games you play on your smartphone.
We are not saying this is a bad thing, as there are some gamers who do not have the time and patience to follow a story, and so just want to get on and start playing. There are six playable characters, all of which have specific skills, much like you get in the armed forces. Once you have been playing the game for a few minutes you will understand just how good the PS Vita is, and how you start to forget all the negative things about the device.
The physical controls obviously help, which you can see for yourself in the video walkthrough of the game below. This really does give you a good feel for the game, but do you think it will be as popular as some of the other titles heading to the Vita?
Naughty Dog finished 2011 on a high, and will replicate this in the first part of 2012, as they have overseen the development of Uncharted: Golden Abyss in the US and the upcoming release of The Last of Us. The story is set before the events of Drake’s Fortune, which sees Nathan searching for the secrets behind a murder that happened 401 years ago. Watching the second version will show you just why this looks to be the best PS Vita release so far. However, we have to remember Uncharted is an acquired taste, and the thought of using touchscreen within the gameplay is not a welcome feature for a few fans of the series.
