Skyrim DLC in view after issues resolved

Some of the best modders are involved in Skyrim and Bethesda know this, which is why they are excited to release the Skyrim creation kit that is in final testing as we write this article. Bethesda feels that mods are one of the best features you’ll find in Skyrim, and can lead to cool user-generated DLC.

Following on from the Skyrim patch v1.4 notes a couple of days ago, which can be seen in this article, and reassurance that the creation kit is ready to drop any moment now, it means the way is clear for Bethesda to focus on Skyrim DLC. When the next update is released it should fix major issues PS3 owners have with a drop in frame rate causing a kind of lag, although this has affected each user differently.

Skyrim DLC in view after issues resolved

Moving on to some official Skyrim DLC now the road is clear – with the latest patch also fixing issues affecting Xbox 360 and PC users, what should the developers focus be moving forward? There would always be the need for different bugs to get a fix, but we’d like to see a real push for official downloadable content to get a release by March.

Not all platforms get equal attention – While PC users benefit from mods and this can only increase with the creation kit about to launch, the same cannot be said for console owners. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Skyrim need DLC, and seeing PC players enjoy mods doesn’t help matters. If you’ve put well over 300 hours into Skyrim you might feel as we do, which is a need for DLC in the next month or two.

The ideas for Skyrim DLC do not stop flowing and we know Bethesda are watching what the gamer is asking for, so it’s a good idea to keep sharing. This recent article looks at new content ideas that could involve “Akavir and its inhabitants“, and it’s their view that this could lead to something for Akaviri.

Some of the most popular items that make Skyrim wishlists include Dragon riding, new skills/perks/shouts, and additions to weapons, armor and combat styles. One of the more complicated wishes for Skyrim DLC, and most likely to come, focuses on an expanded story with more maps. We’ve heard a lot in this area that include ideas involving Morrowind, Hammerfell, Elsweyr and Black March.

When do you want Skyrim DLC to launch, and considering the creation kit and patch 1.4 are about to drop, should the developers now focus on official downloadable content?

The “article” you linked to is little more than peculation by a fan, rather than an official statement by Bethesda. As such I can’t really give it any real credibility. I personally would rather see more on the Thalmor and the continuing Civil War storyline. I want to see what the aftereffects are of supporting the Stormcloaks, along with what Ulfric does as High King of Skyrim, to this sleeping dragon that is the Thalmor. I want more “Game of Thrones” political intrigue. The Akiviri are interesting, but I simply am not as concerned with samurai snake-people as I am with the Thalmor’s crazy plans to slaughter anyone who doesn’t agree with them.

  • Alanjones_4

How about mulitplayer areas battles? I understand that this might ask alot from the Xbox but it shouldn’t be an issue for the pc.

It could be set up like roman gladiators, and it would be epic..

    • Falvus Crucio

It would probably be easier on the Xbox than it would be on the PC.

You wouldn’t have to worry about syncronizing custom game files and mods for one.

  • S Kelsey47

“The ideas for Skyrim DLC do not stop flowing and we know Bethesda are watching what the gamer is asking for“

Only to a degree this is business BIG business Bethesda will have been working on DLC for a long time, plots, scripts, music etc will all have been in place BEFORE Skyrim was even released, they started some work on Skyrim in 2006-7 to presume they would release Skyrim in Nov and start work on DLC in Dec is thinking like a fan and not like the major games company they are.

  • Rosco

I think the tail should stop trying to wag the dog and instead look forward to what Bethesda would like to make for us. Who are we to dictate the direction Elder Scrolls lore should take.

    • GREG

We are the ones paying for it

      • Petermlarkin

That’s akin to saying a movie or book should end a certain way just because the fans are “paying for it.” In interactive media like video games, the players DO have more input than in other mediums, but at the same time I marvel at the culture of entitlement that seems to keep rearing its ugly head. A fan base is a great source for ideas, but designers are artists, and fans need to let the artists do their work. Paying for a work of art is not akin to buying shares and getting a “vote.” If you no longer like it, don’t buy it. But, if you do buy it, don’t think you’re entitled to anything more than an opinion. Express it by all means, but don’t imply your ideas should be implemented just because you forked over some dough. If you want a say, buy shares in the company.

        • Baggerslaw

          You are 150% right Petermlarkin

If every moron with 60$ was able to decide the ending to a game, Gaming would be the worst Entertainment medium ever

        • CS nerd

another problem is that developers could get sued if they use somebody’s idea. This is why there are NDA’s also.

How about the ability to call your horse or tell it to stay or even be able to use weapons and fight while on the horse.

        Not on the console

  • Hmmm

    1. A lot of content in DLC
    2. Focus on fun things to do. Supprising, funny quests.
    3. New gaming experience, more totally unique quests like ‘the speaking dog’.

I want to retake solsthiem for the Nords.

  • runes tales on amazon kindle

Id like to be able to find an old abandoned keep or castle in ruins and repair it. To be a full town Luke in assassins creed. I want a wall around my keep archers on the walls with shops and stalls. And with the wife having more interaction either by becoming the lady of the keep it by running a proper store.

Also I like other guilds making moves against my character. Maybe a new member of the dark brotherhood wants to take my place and could randomly attack me whilst I’m walking around, or to get randomly mugged by a young thief.

Also I’d like npc’s to evolve, with people getting married, and chafing lifestyles maybe they’ll set up shop or become explorers.

I don’t think we’ll get a new land in the dlc.

    • Last Man on Earth

All excellent ideas, but it sounds like a whole new game in itself. Maybe you could work for them on ES6? ;)

  • Corey T

One very simple thing that I’d like back is First person horse riding.

I think there’s still a lot of room for improvement in melee combat (especially 3rd person) and other niggles like NPCs blocking doorways.
However, I’m not going to complain about getting DLC. The sooner the better!

I know someone has already said it, but there should be some kind of Nord Arena…I really miss the one from Oblivion

  • Asde

I never get it what’s with “mods for consoles”. Good people, you choosed to play skyrim on console, nobody has forced you to buy it and you knew from the start that you won’t have any mods for them. Why all the complaining? Want mods? Play on PC.

    • ThePuneSchlanker

Not all of us can afford a 900+ dollar computer to play it on, consoles are cheaper. Mods should be for everything anyway, you spent money on the game, why not have a weapon that nukes an entire town in one hit? We deserve it just as much as you do, douchebag.

      • http://profiles.google.com/oldmanbluntz Michael Bailey

you can build a computer for under $500 that will play the game acceptably, especially if you are used to console graphics. i have an older radeon 4890 that plays the game well on high graphics at 1080P, and a friend with a 4870 that gets the same. these are 2core 3gb ram machines. nothing fancy. you can probably put together a ~$350 machine and get the same level of graphics you get on the 360 or a ps3.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_HZBD7UXRULM7GVTAEMN5H4H6SI Jacob

People who play on the computer get mods and the console players dont thats how it works. Get over it u cry baby

      • http://twitter.com/HalbaradFRI Chris Wray

How should mods be for everything? It’s not the devs who make the mods and mods are restricted on downloading and everything.

MS would never accept mods, completely unpaid for and unmonetised work, being downloaded on their system. Goes against their beliefs of charging for everything known to man. Sony wouldn’t have it on because of the infrastructure, just isn’t there for it.

Simply that console players are now the majority of Skyrim players and mods will get way more coverage. Don’t hang onto the past, the only reason you don’t want mods on console is because you believe that a new generation of noobs who have only played Skyrim will spring up.

  • Daz2k3000

I completely agree, I’m currently own skyrim on Xbox 360 and the road is not clear, my game breaking glitch is not being resolved in this patch. my pc is 6 years old now and skyrim has pushed me to start building a new system. the arguement goes both ways though, I’ve had a massive gripe for years with pc gamers demanding console games be ported to pc which takes away from valuable development resources. want a console game then buy a console.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_HZBD7UXRULM7GVTAEMN5H4H6SI Jacob

uh since when have pc gamers demanded console games to be ported to pc? Its the complete opposite for pc gamers. And the elderscrolls originated on pc so if anything the game is getting dragged down because of consoles.

      • Lucas

Mass Effect, Gears of War, and Halo were all ports from Xbox that PC gamers wanted. And though Gears and Halo are back to being console exclusives, Mass Effect is still going strong.

  • Wagnerj21

    • Mc H P Baxxter

The idea is that you’re playng a role, hence role-playing. Why would you want someone who is a master theif and a master barbarian warrior? Doing that destroys replayability cause you dont need to try different ways to beat the game.

  • Ratboy14

    YES WE WANT DLC!!

It is good that Beth Soft is nearing the end of the “paid public beta test phase” and is near to rolling out some DLC. Of course, that will mark the beginning of the “paid DLC public beta test phase”.

I really want some DLC that goes into one of the realms of Oblivion.

  • Luigi19731

why don’t Bethesda find a way of transferring mods to console the creation kit is basically the same tool they use to make DLC why not every month select the best mods and make them into dlc packs i would pay 1200 ms points for a selection of them then use the money to pay the owner of the mods

    • runes tales on amazon kindle

I agree, is settle for downloading mods from a store, is like the ff7 buster sword.

  • Anonymous

I would like DLC for Skyrim that returns us to Solstheim. Or at least any new map. Also, since Bethesda obviously can’t make proper cities (the cities in Skyrim are the size of small villages), maybe there should be closer focus instead?

  • Skater0857

I want the dlc ASAP, not really that interested in dragon flying unless you can use it to fly to different parts of tamriel or akavir maybe…

    • jobro12

Very good idea! hope Bethesda read this..

    • Eddard

Dragon riding around skyrim would just be gimmicky. Flying to Akavir or another province would be amazing. Good idea.

  • Doctorwhobbc

I would really like some DLC involving the Psijic Order from the mages guild. I would really like to know more about them and even maybe become one. They are shrouded in mystery and open for an expansion like DLC, please Bethesda!

    • Guest

There IS room for Psijic Order. It should be to where you complete the College, though. That way you can involve the Eye somehow, to where even the Psijics can’t control it so you have to expel it or something. Just throwing out random ideas, for whoevers sake. :P

  • Amanda Chaffin

I have 120+ hours in the game and my toon is 81 with all skills maxed.  Yeah I used the book cheat but not until I was 55.

    • runes tales on amazon kindle

      What book cheat

  • Noneya Business

I’m just not sure I need any DLC for Skyrim.  I have all the achievements, a character in god mode and more gold than I could possibly spend.  What else would there be to do?

  • Noneya Business

I want an evac spell so I don’t have to backtrack through cleared dungeons.  I also want to be able to quick travel from anywhere.

  • ghostfoz

id like to see all skill levels increased to 120 or 125, increasing in that increment each dlc so that it ends at each skill up to 200, or at least to where we can keep leveling up for hth/mgk/stm and perks so that even with added perks in each dlc a maxed toon could have over 75% of the perks. Additionally it would be cool not only to have an arena like in oblivion but also some sort of boxing arena, underground or otherwise, i kept expecting to find one of those but still haven’t.

  • Jonathan greene

The thing is with a new map more glitches and more complaining so no way they r doing a new map for the dcl

  • Daemonsead76

After 2 months playing the game I dont have anything to do. I noticed that after your level is up to 55 you can travel all skyrim almost without fighting a dragon, that sucks.

  • Wigwam85

perk limit needs increasing. and dragon flying would be nice

  • Yardie531

Please expand on the Forsworn! The Forsworn Conspiracy and Escape from Cidhna Mine left the plot wide open to start a secondary civil war of Forsworn vs. Stormcloaks/Imperials, so having the option to fight for the Forsworn or against them would be an awesome addition!

  • swimmy

I would love to see unique fighting styles for each race. I care little for dragon riding… Throwback weapons PLEASE. Goldbrand, umbra, ALL of them! Make it to where someone recreates umbra. I also see since there is 2 dlcs coming out, the first will increase the level cap to 91, and the next level cap to 100 (or 101) but it seems too little. We’ll just have to wait and see!

  • A loyal Skyrim citizen

A must have in the DLC…

    1) Quest about stopping the Thalmor and the Aldmeri Dominion or being able to join the thalmor and help or control their cause but to join you have to be a High elf and to help you can be any race ( like the thalmor having their own faction quests)

    2) New shouts/combat/magic moves, weapons and armor and robes

    3) Who wouldnt love some Dragon riding! also maybe some deeper interactions with the dragon that you are riding too..

    4) Being able to join the psyjiic order

    5) I know the NPC in Skyrim are very well developed but i feel like a nobody especially after ive completed the main quest and most of the faction quests i mean im the damn dragon born! Npc’s need to seek me out for training thats MORE interactive or Fear me when my presence is upon them or make a statue of me or make me high king for saving their asses from Alduin ” the f****** world eater”. New dialog for NPC’s! Im tired of feeling like a regular guy when i saved the world…

    ***SPOILER WARNING***

    6) In the part where i either kill paarthunox or not i should be able to decide weather to kill him or not and still be able to interact with the blades or not as i am Dragon Born, the leader!
    ************************************************************************************************************

These 5 points arent alot but i know its not easy to do but im sure most skyrim players would agree with me on this..i mean Bethesda was able to make the shivering isles as a dlc which is like a whole other map plus new npc’s, armor/weapons and questlines im sure they can put 3 out of the 5 things in my list with not too much difficulty. Being GOTY, spending $60 and prob spending more for the DLC, doing it for us the ones playing Skyrim and just being Bethesda they SHOULD put all things into the game..

    • runes tales on amazon kindle

I would like to transform into a dragon, that would be great.

    • Www

Dragon riding? you among the many others are retarded why would an intelligent creature like a dragon let you ride it most are hostile anyway less lead paint in your diets people

      • Falvus Crucio

To be fair, you have to ride a dragon during the main quest.

        • Dachino02

          spoiler!!!

      • Dachino02

an intelligent creature that gets F’ed up by my arrows!!

  • Sorceres65

i would love to see a dlc storyline telling what exactly happened to the dwemer centuries ago, no one knows where they went, just that they all disappeared at once without a trace, it would be cool to find they had been sucked into an alternate dimension somehow, which you would get to explore and possibly find out how to bring them all back

    • R00kStIpHeR

Maybe sucked into the shivering isles?

      • anonymouse

        maybe through a garden hose?

    • Grim Reaper

Have you done the quest for Arniel Gane? If you had, you’d know how they dissapeared, and this could lead to a full Dwemer storyline!!!

  • Internet

I can talk about a new storyline (with new armor/weapons and enemies of course) all I want, but I think I’m not alone when I say that all I’d really be happy about would be the ability to marry Hroki.

  • Ragnar “The Listener”

I really don’t think they will do it but I think it would be really awesome if they release so sick dark brotherhood DLC cause the missions in skyrim were fun but it is just begging for a assassins creed style revival mission cause according to the game the sanctuary in skyrim is the last dark brotherhood stronghold left so I would like to beg them for some good dark brotherhood DLC. So what do you guys think?

    • Www

you sound like a teen girl and you can still run missions after you beat it

    • Eddard

OK people, they are not going to do any follow ups for Guild Questlines, just look at all Bethesda DLC. They all include yo travelling to a new place (Mournhold, Solsteim and Shivering Isles) or starting a completely new “Guild” (Knights of the Nine)

      THINK!

  • Baelor

    - A quest to drive the Thieves Guild out of Riften.
    - Dragon Riding.
    - Helmets based more on cool historical examples [say Vendel and Valsgarde helmets]. Loose the horns of the in-game helmets.
    - Foresworm resolution quest.

    • Ragnar “The Listener”

All fun aside why get rid of the thieves guild?

    • Eddard

      Theives Guild Idea is stupid
Dragon Riding is impossible, cities are in different cells so you would need a loading screen to just fly over them, let alone load the entire of Skyrim beneath you.
Can’t just change the look of some helmets because you don’t like them. They look like that for a reason.
Forsworn Resolution idea is good but lacks scope. If they wanted it they wold have included it in the game, not release it as DLC months later.

  • GuyFawkes

I want dovahkiin to replace titus mede as emperor.

  • R00kStIpHeR

I think that there should be a dlc to bring back the other nations, like cyrodil and morrwind. I would also like to see way more monsters and would like it if they added the snow elf race. (What the falmer were before becoming corrupted, as told when you go to get the falmer eyes and skeleton key back, the statue). And maybe put in the dwarven race and a deadra race would be cool to.

    • Snoofiedoglovesme

Are you stupid??? Do you realise that for another nation the “DLC” would need to be AN ENTIRELY NEW CD, LET ALONE EXPANSION?! THINK MORON!

      • Pdxdrew

Tou are the moron snoofie they already have the land mass in the game and they have the white-gold tower in the game all they would have to do is build the cities

  • R00kStIpHeR

More (destruction especially) spells, like elemental weapons (I know thats conjuration, but it would still be cool). And other things like, earth, water, air. More races. More easter eggs ( those were fun to find).

    • Snoofiedoglovesme

This isn’t runescape kid, go back to it please.

  • barman

  • Avatar_X_86

Let it have a type of co-op mode for those that would like to play with there friends. You may even look at Facebook for some answers to your questions people are asking you.

  • Adam xXx

    In order of importance:

    1) Morrowind and Cyrodiil. Period.

    2) Dwemer storyline expansion. The ability to return them from their hate twisted bodies underground back to prominence above ground.

    3) Coliseum online / local multi-player battles. I am not asking for a full multi-player Skyrim conversion here (although if I could have one I would be greatly appreciative) I’m only asking for the ability to pit your character against another user’s character in real time combat and be able to wager gold / equipment. Is that so much to ask?

    4) Thalmor storyline.

    5) Rebuild Helgen. If you’re not going to let me become the emperor at least let me become Jarl.

None of the above is beyond scope in my opinion. I hope someone at Bethesda sees this and implements at least one of these ideas. I don’t even need credit. I just want the real deal this time and not a handful of unused potential and empty Bethesda promises like what happened with Oblivion.

    - Adam xXx

PLEASE COPY AND PASTE THIS AND POST IT EVERYWHERE!!!!!!

    • runes tales on amazon kindle

It would be great to be the jarl of a rebuilt helgen. I could bring the wife with me, it would be great to have a thane and my own court. You could collect taxes from the people. I would like to choose empire or stormcloaks. I would also like to see npcs move to different towns as well.

    • Anonymous

the dwemer are gone. they vanished, they are not the “hate twisted bodies” that you must somehow (i honestly don’t know how) have mistaken as those who dwell in their ruins.  These are falmer. The falmer were once snow-elves who became the slaves of the dwemer and now control the underbelly of tamriel.  The dwemer disappeared during a war (you find a lot of this out in a quest given from the college of winterhold).  As in completely disappeared, only one was left alive and he was in the outer realms. Honestly, you need to pay more attention to the game while you play.  I suggest getting glasses or possibly smoking a J before playing…  Honestly man, how do you not know this? now if you want to see the Falmer, the “hate twisted bodies underground” finally carrying out their plan of world domination over the light dwellers. Then yes, that would be entertaining as well as something else entirely, and thus, have nothing to do with the Dwemer story line.  However, as the Dragonborn destroys everything living in blackreach, their home, this would also be impossible… you make it too easy for a troll, i will have to continue reading your posts.

  • runes tales on amazon kindle

II agree that NPC dialogue should change after you become the world saviour, and it would be good if the they made it worthwhile to be a werewolf, I joined the companions but did most of the missions as my character not the werewolf. Let’s make them more badass. I’m in my second playthrough, I’ve left the first one open so when the dlc comes out I can become my darkelf straight away, I’m so impressed by how big the game is and how you can vary your experience

  • Www

Morrowind was destroyed by the red mountain exploding can you people just attempt to act like you played any of the other elder scroll games ffs. Dwemer long gone and this guy still thinks they are around

    • RuSSiaN_TaCTicZZ

      I think he means falmer

  • Caleb_kershner

    Mounted combat.
Raise in stat max, new perks/skills?
    More weapons/armor (types included)
Obvious expansion in story but maybe guild/faction quests too?
    More spells.
    Multiplayer 1v1-4v4 battles with friends.
    More areas to explore.
New race as incentive to create ANOTHER new character.

    • Snoofiedoglovesme

LOL MULTIPLAYER WHAT A MORONIC IDEA.
You sir, deserve a medal of stupidity.

      • Pdxdrew

If one more person says something about multiplayer I will go insane
If you want to kill other people go play COD or battlefield

  • Kinkiller1150

I’m not sure if anyone knows how hard it actually is to make new content and alos engines to fun them.
-Dragon riding for one obvious reason cant be done due to the vast map and loading functions. I know most poeple dont wanna be on a dragon looking at an ugly non-loading world.
    -Morrwind is gone.
    -Dwemer are all extinct.
so please people think of real logical DLC.

    • Jlolslh

Dwemer aren’t extinct actually. If you manage to find a side quest that involves a man finding the last known whereabouts of the Dwemer you will see that *spoiler* the Dwemer actually have moved to an alternate dimension /land. I think it would be cool to find out what happened and why they left or at the least visit the island where the thalmor live and kick the cap on of them.. Just a thought though. :)

      • Eddard

The Dwemer have been extinct for the entire duration of TES. Do you really think they will bring them back now? The return of the Dwemer would be worthy of an entire game.

  • Kyrionel

I’d like the ability to finally do away some of the largest cankers in Skyrim that were made unkillable because they were necessary to the story — Like Mavin Blackbrier, for example.  A lot of the problems in Riften could have been handily solved if she and her brood could be dealt with.  The thieves guild weren’t really thieves, they were her stooges.

    • Ragnar “The Listener”

lol no offence but the thieves guild has been in the games since atlest the 3rd one (morrowind) so getting rid of them would be like removing the dragonborn from skyrim the game wouldnt work without them

      • Falvus Crucio

What he’s saying is that the Riften thieves guild are a bunch of flunkies that aren’t worthy of the title.

        • Ragnar “The Listener”

Hahahahaha did you actually do all there quest? cause spoiler once you finish all there quest they rise to power again and become just as strong as they were in Oblivion if not stronger.

    • Eddard

Hmm the problem is that you are assuming that everyone has finished the game. DLCs must be accesible to those who have just picked up the game, e.g Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine. Thus, it must be unrelated to any quests involving the Emperor’s death and the Psijiic Order. The only possible exception is the main quest but that has rather been resolved, with travelling to Sovngarde meeting Tsun.

  • Masmullin

I would like some way to side with alduin rather than killing him… He saved my life after all, and I don’t really care if he enslaves the rest of the world.

  • That one dude

well for those of you who haven’t played at least 100hrs of skyrim its not that hard to find out what the dlc is
    1. the book On: Atrium (enplanes all about the main island in summer set isles) can’t be removed from inventory
    2. the psijic order highly mysterious located on Atrium i bet all mages out there are dieing to find out more
    3. the aldmeri dominion little is know to us about them accept they attacked empire out of the blue one day i bet anyone who loves empire (me) and hates the dominion (me) would love to get rid of the thalmor and make the empire strong again and i bet the people who love the storm cloaks would want talos worship legal and if you like the thalmor (shame on you) you want to help them take over skyrim
    4. notice the boat in wind helm the empire trading company owns? anyone remember the quest rise in the east you travel on a boat to get to destination why not travel to Atrium

this is the best possible option for Bethesda games as it gives every party what they want weather there a mage, warrior or thief empire or storm-cloak and im sure theyll also put soothing like weapons and such and if lucky horse combat!

    • Snoofiedoglovesme

No, that’s stupid, they aren’t listening to you, be quiet.

      • Flipfo4

i agree with this guy snoofiedoglovesme stfu he knows what hes talkin bout

    • Eddard

Hmm, its Artaeum but nice try.

  • http://twitter.com/eveysolara Evey Solara

I would like any DLC no matter what it’s about to take into account our decisions in the main game. Like if paarthurnax is left alive in the game, then he should take part in the story. If the blades are alive, then they should be involved in some way. Same with the civil war story line.

  • Kezzer

A chance to meet with the current ruler of Tamriel and a brief history of what happened after the Oblivion crisis to the present time.

    • Snoofiedoglovesme

      You killed the emperor, noob,

  • Kezzer

Also what about an elite guild?

You would have to rule all other guilds to become a member. Then when you join you meet up with your previous versions of yourself from the other Elder Scrolls games. You are then set five tasks and whoever accomplishes them all first, or the best, wins. Alternatively you could all do the quests at the same time and the survivor wins.

Then as a reward for the winner you have will never be charged for any crime anywhere and gain the ability to use a shout that means dragons will flee from you.

    • Snoofiedoglovesme

      Bad idea, grow up,

    • Eddard

“If you must be stupid, at least be amusing”

  • Kezzer

Bit of a grammatical error in the last sentence ;)

  • Cortez

    Here’s my opnions:
    1. Quality, not quantity: I’d rather have three really long, fun, extensive, rewarding dlc, than say, twenty dull ones.
    2. Advanced combat: horseback combat, new finishers/assassinations, new styles; hell, even new weapon types.
    3. Advanced Smithing: making armor and weapons is nice, but I’d like to personalize, customize and “mix n’ match” a bit more. With good work, they could open up hundreds of different designs and looks for customizable weapons (i.e. customize the hilt, blade, and pommel of a sword, rather than just making a pre-set sword)
    4. More shouts: not so much a necessity, as a luxury. Blasting, freezing, scaring, and burning people is all good fun, but maybe throw in a few defensive shouts?
    5. New Locations: One can only take in so much of Skyrim’s mountains and forests. Some new maps would be interesting, especially with certain events going on in Cyrodil and Morrowind…
There’s a whole lot more I’d recommend, but I think this is a good list to at least fill the first DLC. As for the rest, well, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.

  • tomlg5

I want a dlc that involves snow elves…

For example I know they were forced underground by the nords and became the falmer today. But what if some excaped north to live in peace. So they repopulate and they decide to attack the nords. My point is what if they have war and you could choose to join one side or the other. :D

  • Samiswicked666

I’ve been a veteran fan of the elder scrolls, played all the games over my years. Having played skyrim for countless hours I have come up with some aspects I believe could make the game greater. So to list them…. Allow the player to enchant more items themselves, more robes to enchant, more hoods, more assassin like gear etc to enchant, not pre enchanted gear all the time. Every one plays differently so allowing the player to enchant some cool gear goes along way, I know ppl are guna say you can enchant gear, but a few robes, the standard armour sets, usual weapons set isn’t allowing full potential and satisfaction. Id love to see more Mage, assassin, theif, warrior clans. I’m not talking factions, I’m just saying small groups, hideouts, caves, inns etc…only the dark brotherhood assassinate people, really! Only 5 or so people want to learn magic at the college of winterhold, really!! Only one now run down organisation for thieves, really!!! I’m not saying there needs to be depth here but I would love to enter an inn run by a small assassin group, or a cave where some mages ( not necromancers) have taken refuge to learn the arcane arts or maybe even a theifs Den, small organised crime…plenty of booty. Imagine your character aged…5 hours game time, 1 year…your hair goes Gray eventually (or bald) you get wrinkles, you lose bulk maybe. Again it doesn’t have to be in great depth but I would feel a great sense of achievement after 200 hours gameplay if my character has aged with me! On that note, change your appearance in game, long hair, bigger beard maybe? War paint abit old, get rid of it! Yes these are petty things but it is a rpg and these add to the overall satisfaction, small fixes, big effect! Other things include, more spells, more houses, horses run for longer etc etc etc

    • Flipfo4

1.dark brotherhood kills all other assassins you either join them or die notice how they send u a message via courier saying we know
2.have you ever been attacked by thief? i still do and im thieves guild leader
      3.age…..realy? comon dude…………..
4.there are more rouge mages than necromancers there are pyromanics and even some mages that arnt vampires or necromancers

      • JayNUUMBER64

dude his ideas are not that bad; just because you don’t like them does not mean others wont either i think the age idea would be cool along with maybe a bit in-game customization on your characters features besides its creation in the very beginning. come on dude if you sank 300 hours into one character and you got tired of him looking the same all the time im pretty sure you would use the “grooming” feature, if it was made, too

        • Flipfo4

im not sayin there bad just sayin there already there lol and well age…….realy?

        • Flipfo4

and i have played that long……………no age

    • JayNUMBER64

Totally agree with the aging dude

  • Zb096911

Hopefully we get other world to explore. Either going to morrowind or going back to cyrodil.

    • Snoofiedoglovesme

LOL! wait for a new game you spoilt brat.

  • Jbyers304

    War with the Thalmor.

  • Gauss256

For DLC my suggestions are :

    1)  A story line involving the dwemer and Blackreach and their disappearance and/or advances (they were very advanced).  Would like it to culminate in information that allows you to break the Skills limit up to 300 (if you could raise every skill to 300, that would allow you to level up to 252, meaning you could honestly – not console command – earn all the skill perks).

    2)  Someone else suggested this, but I also would love to see an all-out confrontation with the Thalmor.  Stormcloak or Imperial, the Thalmor have been messing with us behind the scenes for too long, and I would love to be able to send them packing (and I’m a High Elf).  I would also like it to involve actually raising and outfitting an army for some major battles (ie, if you only obtained and equipped your men with iron armor, you get your fanny spanked, but if you invest the effort for better equipment, they end up reaping what they have sown).

    3)  A la Oblivion, a Psijic Order quest line for magic users – what are they doing on their island, and what other dangers besides the Eye of Magnus are they tampering with?

    4)  Blades need their own story line.  New quests centered on the Nightengales.  Dark Brotherhood being hunted by the crown for assassinating the emperor.  Companions facing troubles by renowned werewolf hunters.

    • That One Guy

      yes someone who understands!

    • Flipfo4

      your…………..a………………… genius…………………..

  • Wolf64

Like Gauss said a Blackreach Dwemer quest would be great. I would enjoy discovering that they still leave in a deeper subterranean world where we could explore a whole new Dwemer Town. Maybe they could even help getting rid of the Thalmors…

Another thing that would be cool would be utilizing the wood-mills towards rebuilding some of the ruins you encounter in the towns of skyrim.

  • Luke

    1) I think there should be a quest(Big, big quest) about the Dwemer(Or Dwarves) return.

    2) Customizable armor. (Like choosing colors, finding flowers, and making dye.)

    3) A quest where you could create your own companion, and you play as them
for a short period of time, to finish a big quest.

    • Flipfo4

1)Dwemer got killed by nords and falmer read more lore
      2)i agree
3)no………..just……………no its an rpg for a reason

      • Jack_kearney

Dude, take your own advice; read more lore. The dwemer disappeared after the battle at red mountain, they were never killed off by nords or falmer

  • Clsmithis

i wanna find a dungeon deeper in blackreech where i could meet a living dwemer

  • Cplewo

Customizable weapons, Yes. New weapon types and armor types, yes. Cyrodile, Marrowind, summer set isles, or any of the provinces surrounding Skyrim. I think there’s 7? anywho, Alot has been mentioned, but for the first, please! Customizable weapons and armor and new types!

  • Exploding taco

So if the dlc comes in March does that mean it will be on 360 in February?

  • Exploding taco

    I would like to see….
1.)go back sovengarde and possibly battle invading daedra that are trying to usurp the throne of akotosh.
2.) be able to choose another dark brotherhood sanctuary in cyrodill like cheydinhal and possibly do more dark brotherhood quests for that sanctuary.
3.) winterhold rebuilt to what it looked like before it collapsed
4.)see more locations that only dragons can fly you to like skuldafn.
5.) more variations of dragons like spectral dragons?

    • Eddard

      1) Would trivialise the entire event of travelling to Sovngarde. Also is completely against any ingame lore. Daedra vs Akatosh. Ever played Oblivion?
      2) DLC would not rely on you completing a Guild questline before playing it. Fact.
      3) Good one.
      4) This might be the way in which you are transported to other provinces but not much else.
      5) The Dragons are pretty much resolved. Introducing new types is pointless.

      • Exploding taco

How about odaviing flying you to akavir? That would be interesting…..

    • Exploding taco

Lol yeah just remembered that the oblivion gates were closed by akatosh so that would screw up the lore a little bit lol.

    • tc

There was a skeletal dragon in one of the dungeons I think. Possibly while working for the College of Winterhold. Nearly crushed me.

  • Anonymous

I’ve already finished everything on the game, buy the time a DLC comes out I won’t bother with it.

    • hahafatcut

Not impressed, Lol, no one cares,

    • Wehavejapcousins

Thats completely retarded (excuse me if your offended). I dunno bout most people but i am STILL finding new crapt o do in oblivion and i got it on its release day. If your that bored with Skyrim already maybe you need to go learn to play Hello Kitty Adventure Island

  • Eric Frauel

II want to see custom spells like marrowind had
And multiple spells cast at once, invisibility and muffle fo
An unarmed skill tree would be cool, with a proper glove armor based attack damage, not just base armor.
Different enchants for destruction, being able to cast for free feels like cheating, give us bonus damage or something
    bring back on touch spells

  • Tyler

I feel that the Markarth glitch needs some MAJOR attention before any DLC is even thought of. I know there are some “fixes” out there, but not everyone has access to the Console Comands :3

  • Joe Bloe

Continuation with the war against the Thalmor.

  • DillonXD

Paarthunax revived if you killed him, if not, he starts a war against ect.
Go to Morrowind and possibly meet up with Nerevar? (If he is even there. There are hints that he is currently in Akavir)
    Killing the Daedra Lords perhaps?
Interaction with Talos would be cool.
Becoming High King would be fun.

    • Flipfo4

1.did you even play skyrim you are fighting for other people to be high king
      2. read the book of daedra they can’t be killed only banished
      3. morrowind got blown to oblivion dude come on!
4.paarthunax……revived……the whole point in choosing to kill him is so hes dead

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001461531639 Arch Henderson III

idk i was thinking about the daedra thing to. not kill them obviously because if you did they couldnt come back in elder scrolls VI should bethesda make one. but it would be cool to go to oblivion after you get the oblivion walker achievement and ‘conquer’ them i suppose. make them kneel to you at least, show them just how ‘mortal’ you are. every time one of them called me a mortal i got the unsatisfiable urge to stab them in the face. and screw ulfric. i wanna be high king d@mmit.

  • AqueousHumorous

I think they should do a “Brotherhood of Steel” type thing right away, a cap increase and some alterations to the current world. It would allow the introduction of more consequences in regard to the choices you’ve made so far within the main content (God knows it’s been anticlimactic).

    • Flipfo4

      ummmmmm this ain’t fallout bro

      • Reisgar42

        Same developer, bro.

        • David_Jenkins696

          YOU MAD BRO!

  • Quest 1

It should be the secong great war!!!! The elves atack again and the imperials/strormcloaks depending on what side your on….. IT would be awsome!

  • Th703257

RETURN OF THE DWEMER! If you know what’s become of the Dwemer, it would be very interesting to see them return. Though, retribution from the elder scrolls fans againt the Thalmor would be extremely exciting. One big issue I had playing Skyrim was the disappointment that there would be no other acts of aggression against the Thalmor other than slaughtering the embassy. It only granted a small portion of satisfaction to say the least. All other ideas towards possible DLC are good, but not filling the expectations and demand the game reqiures for itself. Progression to the story, lore, history, and overall game play would rock.

  • Eohall

Id like to see/learn more about the giants, have some giant related quests, giant NPCS

  • Karlore

    Spears.

  • TitusMede3

    an arena

being able to grow a beard/hair to the floor and giant flaming swords would be pretty sweet.

DRAGON RIDING… ALSO NEW LAND AREAS RUMORED LIKE REVISITING MORROWIND AND CYRODILL WOULD BE AWESOMEE I WOULD NEVER STOP PLAYING THE GAME

  • akfhgajgjadf

  • Samjohnson

everyone loves revolutionary war. So having the player lead a rebellion against the Thalmor would be nice. Lots of room for story development

  • guest

how about riding a dragon and fighting the thalmor? you could then destroy the thalmor from the back of a dragon. that would be so much fun

  • runes tales on amazon kindle

I think most people would like a new area I just don’t think it would happen.

I think most would settle for more character involvement, I agree with a lot of the below, the snooty to change hair and beard because after a hundred hours you may not like your look, more variations on the armour like the colour so it feels like you have chosen and crafted it. New weapons. Is like a small official store like Ubisoft do with assassins crewd but little extras. Id live new weapons.

I said before is love to rebuild either an old ruin or helgan and become jarl, and have stores and people working for me. Is like the married character to have more of a part to play. I’m bored of the odd cooked meal.

I like it to be worthwhile to be a werewolf, I joined the companions and the disease resistance is great but after that I’m abit let down.

I would love a war where maybe the regions have borders up, that you had to take control over it would be great you could sneak it fight your way in, bribe someone, plant a mole, high the dark brotherhood or send the thiefs in to cause trouble. And with new missions and harder foes.

Also marriage needs to be fixed. My wife died in a freak accident with a bear and chain lightning… I would like to marry again.

  • MarcS

I would love to see multiplayer. I realize that online multiplayer is a bit of a stretch, but I don’t believe that two players on one console is. Along with that, quests that are tailored for two people. I recently played Lord of the Ring- War in the North, although the quests were monotonous, the graphics were bad, and the weapon and armor choices were horrible, I enjoyed it because of the multiplayer ability. Playing Skyrim with a friend would be the best thing to happen to gamers since N64.

  • MarcS

Also, where the hell did the dwarfs go? I would love to be able to be one. Think about it, they are in every great fantasy book or movie.

    • Sinergize

There never were any dwarves. The ‘Dwarves’ they speak of were only named so in the ‘Elder Scrolls’ series because of the giants who first saw them. They were tiny compared to the giants, so they supposedly called them dwarves.

    • Guest

The “Dwarves” Are gone. They attempted to use the heart of lorkhan (I may have misspelled that) to make themselves gods. And it fucked them over.

  • Btwo

it seems trivial, but I’d love to be able to fast travel to the The Ragged Flagon in the Thieves Guild directly. Always having to go through two or more loading screens to get there is painful.

A neat weapon would be a codpiece dagger, so you could knock someone to the ground, then skullfuck them.

  • Rcalp1991

I would love to have better character recognition. Especially when you are the leader of all the guilds, dragonborn and not to mention pretty much the thane of all of skyrim. I’m tired of walking into towns and nobody knows me. Every once in a while you will get a guard come up to you and say stuff like “hey, aren’t you that new member of the companions? So wgat do you fetch the mead for them or something?” but I’m kind of tired of that. Same thing with the jarl of riften. Apparently she has ties with the thieves guild and dark brotherhood, yet she somehow doesn’t know who I am and a dialog box won’t even pop up for her

  • Areyou

(POSSIBLE SPOILER)maybe a stretch to but follow me for a second. at the end of the civil war there is talk of a “moot” to name high king of skyrim. at the end of the college quest the psijic order comes and takes the eye of magnus and u kill thalmor agents beforehand so my idea for a dlc story

moot is called dragonborn named high king of skyrim
the thalmor attack psijic order to try and take eye of magnus
war between aldmeri dominion and skyrim
psijic order helps somehow and eye of magnus does something too

    not all thought thru but

    • Marty McFly

If you finished the civil war questline you’d see that either Ulfric Stormcloak or Jarl Elisif is named High King/Queen, depending on the side you took, so your entire DLC idea is kind of impossible.

      • Ragnar “The Listener”

Lol dude if you finish the Civil war quest like Areyou said they dont name a high king it is basically decided but not offical so his Idea could still work.

        • Geweiv2

The High King (or Queen) can only be named out of the jarls, I believe.

  • Biscarte Hazencruz

I want to go back to Cyrodil, High Rock, and Morrowind with Skyrim’s new graphics/game engine. I loved the setting of Morrowind and Oblivion but seeing those two places (and maybe daggerfall) and hearing that music again along with Skyrim’s graphics and the new combat system? OMFG

  • Jamesruss68

A seperate quest would be nice with some extra achievements. The shivering isles was a great dlc so a storyline dlc like that would be awesome. For example a dlc were you help elect the high king or another civil war between the thalmor and the stormcloaks. I really look forward to a dlc like that but the lack of a dlc has had me contemplating trading the game in.

  • Jt16_@hotmail.co.uk

    A few ideas here:

    1) Dual wielding and other weapon related ideas: Can swords please have scabbards? I hate seeing swords that are exposed because it does look ridiculous being held by a leather strap. Dual wielding weapons especially as the second weapon just suddenly appears in your hand and only offers one basic slash and a power attack or two. Doesn’t add any extra depth or entertainment for combat.

    2) Werewolf and vampire classes: They were a let down really, vampires should be more like they were in Morrowind where the strengths matched the weaknesses. Heightened damage done with weapons and much extra sprinting speed with an unarmed power attack that knocks people off their feet. They are meant to be physically superior and dangerous upclose. Werewolves should have been able to run faster than that, not slightly faster than those slow horses and jump much higher and further. A class for each with perks such as levelling the speed of sprints, height and distance of jumps, toughness, adding species specific abilities on top of that as perks to make them better to play as, to feel like a supernatural creature. Werewolves could scale walls, with more found on the wilderness that may follow you and forced transformations twice a month.

    3) City scale: Cities should have been much larger, with more people in them and the battles fought during the war could have been on a bigger scale, not 5 against 5 with respawning and disappearing bodies. More creature types, animals and summonings need to be added. A large world with variety needed

    4) Weapon creation and unique weapons: Unique weapons were mostly weapons with a unique name, something that can be forged yourself and named. Then enchanted after. Why not create your own look from a number of options, not just by materials or have weapons of the same materials that look different (variations) the same for armour and more spells and enchantments. Not just a small number of spells, not as many as Oblivion and Morrownd had such as levitation, water walking and teleportation.

    5) Missions and quests: Too short, not enough happens and no good rewards or praise or even recognition for exploits. Main questlines need to be longer with more involvement. Better puzzles, smart life or death battles and with greater use of magical puzzles such as using particular magical knowledge to move further in the quest. More unique characters that we don’t want to kill and so on.

    Sorry this is so long.

I think that the story of Skyrim should lead to another problem with any of the other areas surrounding it. Not only will this add hours of game-play but it should include many new weapons, it should also include new weapon types for the gamer’s of any platforms to experience. What I mean by this is they could have melee weapons that can also be thrown like knives, daggers, etc.

I’m actually intrigued, as Bethesda left the provinces outside of Skyrim filled with trees, rocks, etc. They didn’t populate them with caves or cities, obviously, but for a DLC, they could use that space (which I think they are planning to do) to make a whole province, or part of one, that you can travel to for a continuation of the civil war, possibly

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_FQL5VBZOF7U5HSIUEVZCZAOAZE Da Taco

    1) Possibly rebuilding Helgen? I know the DLC is always available right away but you could see affects as you progress along in the main quest and it’d look cool. Or, you could start a string of quests to help rebuild it including exterminating the bandits taking refuge there with some guards?

    2) Rebuild Whiterun to it’s former glory with the help of the Mages guild.

    3) Take a boat to Akivir and begin a colony? Sounds like it’d be complicated, but interesting nonetheless.

    Just some suggestions.

  • Hperway001

I want to the optionto be high king and have the option to kick anyone I want out of skyrim!

  • asdf

Id just like too see arrowsmithing and and new smithable weapons and armours

  • Zuzary

Make a creation kit for Xbox ffs. been wanting that since oblivion CS came out…

  • Browningkthy

They should have 2 person co op along with map expansion

  • LOLCONSOLE

HERES AN IDEA GET A WINDOWS BASED PC.

  • Joseph Rinkin

it should be co-op for a more fun gaming experience

    • Camfow12

      underwater caves ahd enimes

  • Adeptus_astartes

Only things i want are cosmetic and probably doable with the creation kit…. too bad I’m on Xbox..
I’m just thinking the ability to add cloaks or animal fur to your armor, would make you look badass and conceptually would keep the wearer from dying of frostbite in the colder areas of the place, other then looking cool it wouldnt serve a purpose. thats all I have.

  • LLeeft

I would love to see another castle like the fighters stronghold that you could own. Maybe do a set of quests like the Morrwind quests for the different houses that would let you build a stronghold.

  • Jt Andrews29

Looking at what PC udders did for Oblivion, and what have done before the kit… I want Bethesda to impliment user creations( not really big ones) into the game. Not being offensive to the Bethesda game designers and engineers, but if ordinary people can create these amazing extraordinary mods… Either hire them or have the players make the DLC!

  • Guest

How about letting them fix the vast list of bugs before adding new ones with DLC.

    • Jackholexxy

eh, i want more dlc, even more than i would like to be able to use my unbound dremora who chills all day on the roof of the mage college

    • Cortez

I don’t think the list of bugs is all that vast. Except on the PS3 I think, but I play Xbox anyway, which for me has shown no sign of bugs or glitches worth taking exceptional note of.

  • Clay

would not mine a dlc that continues on the civil war ie stormclocks invading cyrodiil

    • Guest

That makes no sense. The stormclocks want to free skyrim not attack Cyrodiil.

      • Alex Semple

        i agree with clay

      • Sam

I think you underestimate greed and the desire for power that leaders such as Ulfric are faced with.  Nevermind Ulfric, he could be undermined by one of his own men.  The problem with this idea is that there are too many possibilities for what the player may have done (sided with the stormcloaks, sided with the Imperials, etc.)

  • guest

I want to battle the Thalmor, i want crossbows, and spears that can stick people to walls

  • Guest

All I want is the ability to smith lockpicks. About 3-5 per iron ingot seems fair.

    • Ovolto

Fletching also, would be great to make glass arrows or whatnot

  • Laurieradvie

    Make a dlc like this:
Your family(father mother brother) gets imprisoned in hammerfell and have to fight in the arena, and you go to hammerfell and end up with them, and then you have to fight your way out too escape.

    A man can dream…..

  • Deadmanwalking

Id like to be able to hire the dark brotherhood, I’ve run the whole organisation in two games but I still can’t get them to knock of the odd annoying npc!

  • Foxtrot

Why not include doing more things for the Deadric lords? Like when you’ve become their champion or meet them, one randomly appear in your house or a building you enter and they’ll give you a specific quest based on who you worship or like (earlier event which asks you “Which Deadric lord do you like more?”) Then as soon as you accept their quest, a long unique questline corresponds to which Deadra lord you choose and in the end, you get something a little better than your first meeting with them. Sheraggoth would be the choice for me. And of course as he’s madness, I hope he gives me something that can make any enemy purposefully glitch and do weird stuff. But if more realistic DLC, I’d like to see one that can change your character’s appearance and even gender (even saving it), or wear something over armor. I’m so simplistic, that would satisfy me.

    • DoYouKnowWho

No offense but I very much doubt daerdic lords would want to pop round for tea.

  • Foxtrot

But of course, more quests and more optional things make me happy. I would like to see some weapons that can be upgraded with dragon bones and scales, to make a stronger version or another weapon completely. But… I know that would be for people who do smithing, like me.

  • Foxtrot

Wait! How about a little colonies filled with the beast characters. And more marriage options, secondary perks between other perks, more reactions from NPCs (to make the “arrow in the knee” comment less common), customize armor with colors from the alchemy ingredients you find, new voice actors for some characters that sound alike, custom potions and poisons, more elements to control in magic, etc. I have a million ideas.

    • Brianrosnell64

yeah. and along those lines, CHIDLREN FOR ADOPTION!!!!

  • paul

All I want in the dlc to be able to cut down the mightiest tree in the forest wiiiiithh…A HERRING!

Nah, but on a serious note. I really enjoyed the shivering isles. It was a new beautiful place to explore, and the questline was interesting.

I think there is still some bug-fixes required. Maybe with 2 patches or so, I might be ready for a DLC. a good month would be April for sure, no later, hopefully,

  • Filthydiabetic

i want to go to the aldmeri dominion and kick some high elf butt

i would like to be able to wear chain mail then plate armour so you would be even stronger, and put different types of animal furs so everyone would look different

    • Homes

      you can do that already…once

      • Googoo

That may be true, but the scene was a total letdown. I thought I would be able to at least control the freaking dragon, but, nope. Made me sad.

  • Normyp1

AND I WANT SOME MORE NUTTY QUESTS LIKE SOME OF THE DAEDRA QUESTLINES THEY WERE AWESOOOOME.

  • Angelburn666

DLC? How about an online battle arena where you can fight other people with dragons? While riding/or commanding them?

  • guest

I just want to destroy the thalmor.
    They’re so annoying

  • Caelamendini1

I want my own armory to display all my unique weapons and armor and more places to personally decorate

  • Guest

I want to go to the Summerset Isle and hit the Thalmor were it hurts! and campfires with cooking pots.

  • Notthanks

    1. Fight the Thalmor or join the Thalmor
    2. Fight the Falmer more extensively3. Customize armor appearance with color and accents4. Expend maximum level from 815. Deathblow sequence control would be GREAT, ie specific triggers for kill sequences6. Fighting Staffs, hand-to-hand (effectual, please), throwing weapons… I want to create a “warrior monk” character.7. “Agility” perk line that would offset the need to choose and upgrade an armor skill tree.  Ie, a high agility rating would increase an opponent’s chance of missing you or reduce damage done by enemy attacks as if reducing them to glancing blows.  This would allow for a totally new way to approach combat… less slug-it-out or range-only and more methodical/precise.
    8. How about a Dwarven machine for a companion/mount?
    9. Dogs, wolves, bears, birds, etc… as companions and pack animals would be really cool.

  • guest

I think a pretty cool idea would be to include parkour into the dlc.  Just have empty hands that you can equip, like weapons, and when you pull the triggers at a certain point, the player will grapple, vault, wall-run, break-fall, etc.  By having it as an option to equipt, it doesn’t fully change the purpose of the game, and to have challenges, have npcs equiped with the ability.  A re-introduction of the acrobatic skill might be helpful, and then have the ability as a perk.  This could be helpful to thieves and assassins.  Just thought it could be a cool idea to try out.

  • Pdxdrw

What happened to the dwemer?, join/destroy thalmor, go to a new Provence/continent
I would also like to see little things like dragon weapons and the ability to creat arrows
Also it would be cool if there was a hardcore mode like in fallout
    That would be amazing

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1826955567 Joe Christian

i was really hoping for a survival mode in skyrim so things like ale and food would not be completely pointless

    • The Grey Fox

Strongly agree with dragon weapons and creating arrows. Very disappointed by the lack of dragon weapon. After you’ve beaten the game, there should be a quest line that ends with you being able to take on dragon form as a once-a-day power. By the time you’ve beaten the game, just screwing around and raiding towns as a dragon (any of the dragons) seems like a great way to unwind from the 300 hours you spent becoming a god-like dovahkiin.

  • Sherri Davis

Being able to destroy the Thalmor’s influence in Tamriel or help the Thalmor take over would be great, and making Ancient Nord armor and weapons.
As for quests, you could find a group of remaining Snow Elves or Dwemer.

    • http://www.facebook.com/manoia Matthew Anoia

You can already make Ancient Nord Armor. It’s under Daedric armor.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1826955567 Joe Christian

you make ancient nord armor and nord hero weapons at the skyforge in whiterun after completing the companions quests

  • Shwng14

I want the arena back, it was fun fighting trolls and stuff!

  • Xboxlive442

I think it would be cool to play online somehow. Like help your friends with adventures, or do battles. Also, it would be awesome if they added like a colosseum type thing where you are a gladiator and must fight for survival. They should make skills go higher than level 100 so you have something to look forward too, along with more skill points. Customization on armor and such would be cool. For example, color and style of armor, then possibly adding jewels to it. I think you should be able to wear more than one ring. Maybe like 2 or 3. There should also be a lot more armor like once you get to extremely high levels. And there should be more insanely strong enemies once you get to insanely high levels. There really should be an extension to the maps for more exploration and adventure. It would be kinda cool to have finishing moves on killing enemies too. Having random quests too would also be kind of fun instead of a lot of them being go kill this person and such.

  • Guest

be able to kill the thalmor
find a group of snow elves ot dwemer
    some kind of online
take the civil war further (e.g.invade cyrodiil)
    some questlines in morrowind
a new and improved quest generator
    customizable armour/weapons
an ownable stronghold complete with a massive armoury
    could all be cool

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=745400853 James Knight

There are snow elves everywhere – thats what Falmer are

      • Brandon 2023

true but the falmer are all ugly, lost their true native elf personalities, looks, and eyesight. they only wear one type of armor, use one type of weapon set. its just…the falmer are kind of boring.

  • Guest

I would like to go fight the thalmor and whats better than riding a dragon……. how about being one! i know that’s pushing it but you can be a werewolf or vampire, mite as well be a dragon right beside i wold love to fly down and burn enemy’s

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=745400853 James Knight

I agree, becoming a dragon would be a good addition.  And since in the lore there is always talk about how the Po-tun (tiger people) who live on Akavir have figured out a way to become a dragon, they could make it a whole Akavir expansion.

  • Guest

Definately the ability to bring the fight to the thalmor. That quest where you had to rescue some guy from the thalmor was really fun. Also like some other guy said the ability to fight your friends online in some sort of duel arena would be really fun and have levels within the arena and possibly an online champion. Bring on the dlc :) )))

  • Mmiele1979

I would love a little DLC involving a completely different area of Tamriel.  Elsweyr would probably (in my opinion) be really cool visually if it’s done right and I would LOVE to see something like the scope of the Shivering Isles in Oblivion…..  And of course, there is a dragon problem there as well (I really want to ride a dragon too).  I don’t know what the real plot could be bc it would be boring but maybe something Daedric related??  (As I think all would agree that those quests rock)

  • H4rn15h

    MULTIPLAYER…. NUFF SAID

  • Ikegwukc

    co-op quest and pvp

  • random Bob 2178

being able to make arrows and i guess capes would be kinda cool but definitely  being able to make arrows

  • rgregfgr

Flying or being a dragon. New continent or expand the games map. New epic quests. I have alot more, but what i really want is… I WANT TO GO INTO OBLIVION!!!!!!!!!!!! WHO AGREES WITH ME?

    • Rpger

The whole Oblivion concept was largely disliked by most. I thought it was just ok.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1826955567 Joe Christian

the way to get to oblivion was closed at the end of the elder scrolls 4 main quest so making a way to go there would make the whole point of Tes4 null and void

  • IAMABOSSKIDATSKYRIM

I think it would be cool to be able to have sneak be a bigger part of the game, like be able to jump of something and assassinate someone below and roll away, because playing as a sneak character can help, but not near as much as being a mage or warrior, so I feel like it is kind of a small part of the game and should be bigger. Also, maybe more armor to create/customize, but the whole co-op I like, but imagaine having a level 40 player come and carry along a level 5, it would get taken advantage of too much.

    • Jeremy

Well, they could change that, make it be like a level range, a level 5 player can’t be in a party with someone higher than say like 12 or so. That would make it more fair, so they couldn’t just go grind on the highest monsters and become pro within a few hours.

    • Brandon 2023

they could do as jeremy said or they could also do it to where you could only co-op with your friends on PSN, XBOX Live, or whatever network the PC users would use.  this wouldnt completely annihilate weaker players grinding obviously but it would be kept in the confines of 2 friends.

seeing as to where another human player (who arent always as smart as some people give them credit for) would be the person trying to grind…they only get the experience as they would by themselves (for using their skills on enemies or near enemies) so if they sit back and watch while the higher person takes out a dragon or giant or mammoth or whatever they arent really doing anything but spectating.  we all know it takes more than a few seconds of a spell or a few hits or blocks to level any skill so it would be a lot harder for them to grind in that sense than you would think.

  • Kingjosh608

I would really like to see them make a shout that could allow you to be a dragon or possible let there be another quest that allows you to gain this power, I would also like to see more armor and weapons and for them to make an awesome set of weapons to go with the dragon armor, I also think extending the main story line and creating new quests, maps, and areas would also be amazing, I think there should be a bigger variety of dragons as well such as lightning dragons etc. My main concern though is that they create more armor and weapons because I not only want to be a BA on Skyrim, I want to look like one too, and another thing with the armor I think would be cool to have different colors for the armor and different designs such as what the ebony armor has.

  • Vaughn4400

Okay co-op would suck. It just won’t work this game isn’t ment for co-op if they wanted go put it in they would have to completely re-write the gay coding. I think the level cap should be expanded, more perks, more weapon making and what not, more followers, higher amounts of followers at once, more civil war quests, maybe more territory like other cities, and geographical lands(deserts, jungles like where the argonions are from).

  • Johnbnz456

i would like to have the ability to reassign perks

  • RPGer

Make the game HARDER!!! its too easy!!!

    • Kinzerg

      just up the difficulty

  • PelouzeTF

A very large armory and display area. Shield wall, mask displays, 20+ mannequins, “pool cue” like magic-staff rotators. Jewellery, necklace, ring displays. Windhelm has the best armory but, its still too small compared to the accumulated weapons, apparel and show off stuff we have sitting in boxes.

Harder main-quest….or a main-quest that can’t be completed too early (id finished it by about level 16 and my perks were basic at best). So maybe certain perks need to be at specific levels in order to achieve something that can’t be done without say “pickpocket lvl 40″ and to then be able to move onto the next part of the main quest.

More personalized followers. Its not bad, They just don’t seem to care about you much lol.

A little more “recognition” from the general public for saving their butts constantly ;)

The ability to have your own castle and city. Not sure why, I just want stuff. Maybe a quest where you have to fight for it ?

Reassigning perks would be good but, 1 for 1 would make it too easy. Maybe trade 2 for 1 to be reassigned.

Ability to buy follower a horse, or have them ride with you.

    • Brandon 2023

I actually like your idea the best so far.

For followers I think Dragon Age hit it on queue for personalities. As for the own castle/city thing…I think that part prolly comes from having played the Fable series where you can buy more than just A house per city (shops, vending stalls, houses and the like), though if they come out with a cool DLC that can support all or half of your idea I think it would be a cool add if when you own such amounts of property you could rent it out to people thus producing more money for you than just you and your wife do in game (kind of like the actual economy the Fable series produced).

I definitely agree with the option to buy a follower a horse, they already cant sprint like we can so we should at least be able to not have to wait for them to catch up without having to wait for an hour or fast travel somewhere.

If they come out with an option to redistribute your perk points, I’ll be redistributing my Smithing ones now that I have already made as much use of it for both myself and my follower as i will ever need to.

  • 40706

I really hop there is a DLC for some kind of battle with hundreds of stormcloke and Imperials.  and depending on who you join, you fight with that side.

  • Guesty McGuesterson

What do I want in DLC? A quest to kill Snoofiedoglovesme over and over and over again.

I would like to see the dragonborn become high king of skyrim and wear The Amulet of Kings!!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1826955567 Joe Christian

definatly take the fight to the thalmor but make it a long process like you have to go to the different provinces and recruit allies for the final battle like you did in oblivion with the big gate but make the quest lines to get said allies quite long instead of just go here talk to him close door talk to him again type quests the oblivion city quests had

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1826955567 Joe Christian

    1. the high king of skyrim would not wear the amulet of kings the emperor would.
    2. the amulet of kings was destroyed 300 years prior to the skyrim timeframe when martin sacrificed himself to save tamriel and banish mehrunes dagon and close and permanatly shut the oblivion gates

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1826955567 Joe Christian

Playable instruments through the Bards College mini faction!

    • Gsdf

      that’s retarded

  • Brandon 2023

reading through a lot of these suggestions i cant help but further the want for online play co-op and arena style pvp.  since the game is set in a medieval time frame something like gladiatorial or vikingish themed should do well.

fletching is a must whether arrows remain to be weightless regardless of quantity or not…i dont see how it makes sense to craft armor and weapons but not arrows…they fall under weapons and are used to kill creatures using a bow that you can craft and are often named after the material used to make the bow appropriate for their level range (ebony arrow – ebony bow, daedric arrow – daedric bow, etc).

definitely need a more expansive armory…too many cool weapons and armor to display throughout the adventure and not everything you want to keep for pure looks if nothing else will fit across all the armories you can acquire. someone mentioned a rotatable “pool cue” style magic staff display…would be an awesome add!

new weapons and armor would be great too. on this note…id be satisfied with being able to acquire different colored dye’s and having a tailor skill tree…since you can find clothes everywhere in the game and mages often use cloth why not be able to craft that yourself as well as armor? and why not be able to make a staff then enchant it to be a staff of whatever you want it to be a staff of?  back to the tailor thing though this is mainly where the dye’s would come into play but you should be able to apply to them pretty much any part of your ensemble (necklace, ring, helmet, hat, etc, etc), and their should be a decently ample amount of dyes to further generate character creation. no matter how many days go by (in game) my character never looks older, tired, dirty…only bloody when I’m the one being attacked…so having blood red dragon armor would be kinda cool…or whatever color a player would choose. for daedric armor though i think that color base doesnt really need changing.

as much of skyrim that i have explored on the 2 different characters i have created so far….i still feel the need for much more…there are only a few spots i havent been to yet and thats mainly cuz i havent played in like couple weeks…so for DLC entirely new maps ot explore would be fantastic.

also, the mention of more personalized followers (making them tend to pay more attention to you and not repeating the same 5 lines of idle dialogue), having more followers at one time, being able to buy a horse for your follower(s) as well as having them ride with you instead as an option.  i like the idea of them riding their own horse though im sure id still have to buy it for them which i can deal with.  i would like to have more though, during certain quests in game you have anywhere from 2-5 people with you though only 1 might actually be your follower or none at all…if you could have at least 2-3 of them as followers like Dragon Age Origins did and have Dragon Age Origins style personalities for them where they interact with each other as well as you and dialogue will vary based on your decisions throughout the game would be pretty neat to see as well.

i’ll end with this for with this game there are too many possibilities we would like to see added, though in itself it was still a great game.

  • http://www.facebook.com/joethewize Joe Kline

One option I would like is to be able to actually set up a physical shop where you can set the prices and see your items on display. I’d like to be able to enchant arrows, like maybe the quality of soul stone effects how many you can enchant as well as the ability to remove or improve an existing enchantment on any item. Also, how about a first person view for horse riding? I’d like to be able to keep things like bear traps as items to use when I want.

As far as actually story and quest things go, I’d like to see Elswyre just because it would be very stylistically different from anything seen recently. It would be nice to see the snow elves of the dwemer, either some remnant group or being sent back via the elder scroll. It would also being interesting if there was a quest where you have to marry a character to continue or have your marriage recognized by other characters at least.

  • The Grey Wolf

Expansions like The Shivering Isles are always welcome. Not necessarily another province, but other realms. It really lets them get creative with new creatures, plant-life, and architecture. The Shivering Isles was nothing short of impressive. It provided you with an entirely new area to explore (with at least 3 distinct area types that I can think of), with unique characters, quests and environments. It wasn’t just more of the same, it was actual QUALITY content with respectable QUANTITY. Not just more for the sake of more. I feel like that’s something that we’re always in danger of encountering with western rpg’s. Like when Obsidian picked up Fallout: New Vegas. It was uninspired (not to mention, literally, the buggiest hunk of crap I’ve ever played), and left me feeling like I had been conned into buying the same game I just beat. Bethesda has a great track record, though, and I’m confident whatever they come out with will not merely meet, but exceed expectations.

  • Yeehawdaggydag

You all have to understand that co-op and general mutliplayer is not something inline with the whole theme of the Elders Scrolls games. They have always put immersion, realism and great visuals first. Co-op games very rarely have these in mind, and when they do they are not fun. So don’t expect an Elder Scrolls game with these kinds of multiplayer features for a very long time, if ever. An Elder Scrolls MMO might be a possibility, but it would have gameplay mechanics similar to WoW and not present Bethesda titles.

I’m just hoping for more lore-rich DLC with visits to other Daedric realms and Tamriel’s provinces. Maybe one that revisits the Great War? Really sad that Bethesda skipped such a great time period.

  • Chrissmithto

I think they should focus on fixing the game before expanding upon it. My quest log is full of un-finishable quests.

  • nick

I just kind of want to give in al little more detail on the parkour idea I gave out.  Perhaps Bethesda can create cities and areas in the new map content of the dlc to have the ability fit in.  I know there aren’t a lot of places in Skyrim that look suitable, but if the dlc will go back to morrowind or cyrodil, I’m sure it can happen.  Also, there be certain quests added to the dlc that will corrospnd to the idea.

this is Skyrim we are talking about here not LOTR! everything else though good thinking…how about Scythes as well? i wouldnt mind a lil time as the grim reaper being from the dark brotherhood and all.

  • blarghatron

so many good ideas im loving dont know where to start!
there should be more quests for all the guilds, especially in the thieves guild, because i finished all the main quests and im sick of picking the same peoples’ pockets in the same cities and breaking into the same houses to plant stolen goods. as guild master, you should be given more responsibilities, giving out orders, possibly delegating certain tasks to the other members of the guild.

marriage: the only people available for marriage suck, and there should be more. i think it would be a good idea to marry people who are already married in game, like adrianne, who become available for marriage after their spouse, in this case ulfberth, “mysteriously dies” ^.^

i love the idea of playable instruments. this might sound stupid, and possibly defeat the whole purpose of a protagonist whos supposed to be silent all the time, but if you learned a lot of the songs that the bards play and how to sing, you could perform in some inns and up your speech skill, as well as gaining the trust or losing the respect of certain npc’s. it would be interesting if you sang “the age of aggression” in the center of windhelm for everyone to hear XD kind of stupid idea, yeah, but not as stupid as co-op.

i don’t really like the idea of turning INTO a dragon or semi-dragon, but being a dovahkiin means you literally have the soul of a dragon, so i think it would be an interesting idea if there was a shout where you summon a physical manifestation of your dragon soul that can fight alongside of you, kind of like an aura. (dragon riding would be badass too)

id like to see questlines involving what happened to the dwemer, possibly joining the vigilants of stendarr (would it not be awesome to hunt down vampires, werewolves, and daedra? easy free way to get vampire dust and daedra hearts), possibly restoring the blades to their former glory with all the followers , and the falmer slowly but surely succeeding their goal of terrorizing the surface world (and possibly some more history regarding the culture of the snow elves.

and as nice as reassigning perks would be, i doubt they will give us that option, as everyone will probably take advantage of that by getting rid of all their smithing perks now that everyone has fully upgraded weapons and armor, and reassign it to whatever their primary form of combat is.

becoming a dragon wouldnt be that bad of an idea….i think Divinity II captured it fairly well. and for the reassigning perks things an earlier comment mentioned if allowing it to happen to make it cost 2 points per 1 you want to reassign or something along those lines. making it kinda fair cuz instead of getting back the full 8-10 points in smithing you originally used you would only get 4-5 back. so you still wouldnt be where you wanted in a specific skill tree unless you sacrificed something else. also on that note…most characters at around level 20 or so can be OP if they built their character based on sneak and use daggers or bows. and there are a few other skill trees that are already OP if built right so it would only further people’s already badassness. rest of what you mention though i have to agree with.

Bring back the ability to make spells! I dont know what bethesda was thinking when they took that great option away wtf

    • HeX

Maybe because they couldnt get it in the format they wanted by the 11.11.11 release date. Hopefully the DLC we get will involve a detailed spell creation system, not just the ability to combine them.

I want to see additional legendary weapons (unique items) for every weapon class in the game. And to change the Ebony weapons closer to the concept art. I don’t care about dragon riding, that would get boring in like 2 hours. I want some large scale battles, like 10+ draugur at once.

Most magical was lost during the years between Oblivion and Skyrim because of the change from an official mages guild to the politically driven organization now. That it makes sense as to that with the other knowledge of magic lost that spell creation could possible be something that was lost…

You have no clue do you… how bad it would be to have a multiplayer dlc… dont get me wrong or anything but really guys it would be so laggy and bethesda cant just come up with like that. A type of dlc is a last dlc for the game it’s always good to start out small and go big not go big first

  • Badad08

mutiplayer isnt inteded for skyrim its a single player game dont ruin it by adding multiplayer

    • Simonleitch19

How wud it ruin the game some people wid love to play with there m8s and be able to trade stuff with each other just cause you dont want dont mean no one esle wud

      • Walt Abernathy

Are you an idiot? Take a look at Skyrim as it is; beautiful but laggy and glitchy as stephen hawkins wheelchair. The amount would be tenfold if you were to add millions of other players! Plus I’ve seen hundreds of people mention it, imagine starting the game again and getting to the point where you independantly kill your first dragon, and some gimpy COD addicted prick steals your kill, dragon soul and loot and proceeds to kill you all the while shouting ‘OWNED’ or something else that reflects the sad state most teenage males are in. You wouldn’t love it at all. Also how do you think The Elder Scrolls has succeded. As a series? Online multiplayer is not to thank for that.

I know alot of people say that  an Online DLC would ruin this game, i used to aswell, but i got thinking and i thought that maybe if it was small lobbies of friends or random people of about 6 maybe 10 maximum and then you can do Co-Op designed quests, but only the host, or maybe even noone, is Dragon Born, which would add to the feel of ‘Last DragonBorn’, but i digress, my idea for a DLC would be that you have to travel to different provinces e.g Cyrodiil and maybe wage a little war on the Thalmor with some trusty companions type thing, and maybe some little guild, and maybe even create your own guilds, and maybe even there is a big mission that Requires all the ‘Already Known’ guilds to complete and so you unite all of the guilds and they take on loads of enemies, or something like that anyway

  • LSeville

Also I think maybe becoming Jarl of only one Town, I’d love to own Whiterun and have Dragonsreach as my home :3

  • Jjenki011

    the is no way that
Bethesda can pull off a dlc within 4 moths and if thay id would it be good?

  • guest

I would love a visit to Hammerfell as a DLC! Something along the lines of Shivering Isles hopefully- that was a fantastic addition to Oblivion!

  • runes tales on amazon kindle

Any news on what the dlc actually is yet.

  • Tspencerchambers

I want to be able to forge arrows

  • Guestooo

fletching your own arrows would be nice, so im not looking for daedric arrows, and really i just want a badass robe selection, available in stores :{P

New houses in the country side, for different styles (rangers etc…) I’m a Xbox 360 Skyrim user, and I have looked at PC mods and people have made fantastic houses in the country. If there was a new DLC containing: new houses in several locations, fletching arrows, new horses, (like faster ones). I also think new pets (cats, maybe baby dragons). And then you could adopt children, who can stay in the house your wife/husband is in (only could adopt children IF you got a wife/husband). And so on… I’m currently getting bored, and bought Skyrim on the 23rd of January. And been experimenting with glitches which glitched me to level 81, with all the skills 100. So, new DLC with one of these mentioned (mainly the houses) would make my day.

no real thoughts, except maybe making hroki marryable.

    • Guest

      for PS3/Xbox 360 of course

  • Skuter1296

As many have already commented even if you play on master (Very Hard) after about 30-35 the game becomes too easy. I suggest also that a DLC where we deal with the Elven (Thalmor & Falmer) threats as well as the fact that Akavir has been trying to destroy mankind and never even show up excpet in a few offhand comments and some dusty books. Finally a more realistic social interaction system im tired of saving some travelers life from a bear or troll then he turns around and says something like “Dirty Imperial or Mangy cat” (I play as a Khajit and Imperial). honestly that would be the better things to add into a DLC but either way if those things arent put in id still buy the DLC i just love bethesda and Todd Howard’s work.

Resolved? My mate’s 360 had a seizure attempting to run the new update lmao!!
