Video Gamer has commented on Ridge Racer Unbounded with a preview of the game. They begin stating that the multiplayer options are where this series expects to get back on track. The developers are still looking to keep the basics although there are a few new modes to experience. A classic set of racing modes are on offer with great visuals and a boost mechanic. The game the power gauge is charged up through drifting allowing users to smash though relevant scenery thus finding shortcuts.
Responsive steering takes a bit of getting used to yet some of the handling can feel different to that expected in certain vehicles. Unbounded contains the arcade-style racing that is required and the multiplayer modes support the City Creator tools. Overall this game slots into position in a congested racing market but it also needs a bit of attention refining this title before it comes out to make it a sought after requirement.
