The release date for UFC Undisputed 3 draws ever closer (February 14 for the US and the 17th for Europe) and as a way to tease you a little Yuke’s and THQ made a demo of the game available just under a week ago. If you have yet to try the demo out and are still considering whether you should purchase the latest mixed martial arts video game, then maybe the three videos we have embedded for you below will help your decision?
What better way to see what the new game is all about than the official trailer and two inside views from a senior game designer and the audio director for UFC Undisputed 3. The trailer we mentioned just now is special in the way that it puts Rashad Evans and Davis Simulation in the ring, and what surprised us the most is the realism of each fighter. However, the footage did not get too close, so we were unable to see how much damage is inflicted on the player after taking a few hits.
The second video looks into the Career Mode gameplay while the third discusses why this is the most authentic play-by-play experience from any UFC game. While you will have to pay for most DLC for the game there are a few available for free, which you will be able to get via Facebook. However, an article here says you will have to pre-order UFC Undisputed 3 in order to take advantage of this offer.
The paid DLC looks pretty extensive, such as over 150 unlockable attires, Fight of the Night, International and Mixed Bag packs. These are just for starters and more will become available throughout the year. Back in November we discussed how the first UFC Undisputed 3 DLC will be ready for download on the day of release.
Going back to the demo, you will get just the one option, and that’s Play Now. However, this is clever marketing, as it gets you right in on the action; although you do get a bit of a history lesson on the sport first. We love it when the fighters walk in ready for some action; if it’s the same as how things are done in the sport itself then we have certainly been missing out.
