Limitations in MW3 DLC for control

When we looked at the Modern Warfare 3 1.08 patch a few days ago we had mentioned certain users were complaining that they were unable to use the new DLC on multiple accounts for their Xbox 360. It was assumed to just be an isolated incident, but it seems to be more widespread than we first thought. The terms and conditions state that there should not be any limitations with MW3 DLC, so why is there?

So far only one user can access the new downloadable content, which as you would imagine is starting to anger those Xbox users who paid for the Premium version of Elite, so not only them but their family members living in the same house using the same 360 console can take advantage of the new content – well that’s the idea.

As yet Activision has failed to comment on the issue, but you can be certain that there are a few team members already on the case trying to understand why this issue has arose. We find it strange how a few gamers suggest Activision is finally trying something like this; again we have to remind you that it goes against the terms and conditions, so expect the issue to be resolved soon.

This has since sparked a huge debate on the Call of Duty Community Forum and there seems to be a consensus that it’s an issue with Elite, as this never happened with Modern Warfare 2. While it’s easy to get angry and surmise what the cause of the issue is, only Activision know – just hope they inform Elite users sooner rather than later.

An issue like this will not be hurting Activision that much yet, as those who have downloaded the DLC have already parted with their cash as part of being a Premium Elite member with an Xbox 360. However, the problem will have to be resolved in time for when those who do not pay a yearly fee decide if they want new content or not.
