By now you will know pretty much all there is regarding Mass Effect 3, but there are still a few things EA has kept back. One of those is the voice cast, and while you may already know some returning actors, there are few news ones in this final mission for Shepard.
It’s all very well knowing all the latest features, story etc, but none of this will be as believable without the pre-production process. While some games would rather go for unknown actors ME3 is very different, as there are some big names involved, Martin Sheen and Seth Green are just two of them.

In the video you get to see Martin Sheen (the Illusive Man) doing some of his voice-over work first, which has been synced up so you can see the same corresponding footage in the game. The next actor is Freddie Prinze Jr., his character is James Vega; fans of the series will know he is a new character and can only be described as very serious yet honest. You have to love how Freddie Prinze gets into his scenes, even when he is seen boxing in the game he is doing the actions in the studio, this makes it a more believable performance.
Seth Green plays Joker and even though he is good at what he does you can’t help get annoyed at him, not because of his performance (which is always great) but due to the fact he gets to act out some of his scenes with Tricia Helfer, who is the voice to EDI.
Other characters include: Ali Hillis (Liara T’Soni), Jessica Chobot (Diana Allers), and Keith David (Admiral Anderson). The final two voice actors are Jennifer Hale as the female Commander Shepard and finally Mark Meer as the male Shepard.
Do you think this is a great voice cast for Mass Effect 3, or do you have a different choice in mind?
In the build up to ME3, today saw the release of Mass Effect: Deception, which is the first of these novels to be written by William C. Dietz. It seems the newcomer might not have been up to the task, as fans have been finding a huge number of errors in the book. An article here says while you can understand the odd typo or two, mistakes cannot be forgiven by the fans and believe that BioWare should have looked over the final draft before it went to print.
Have you read the novel yet – was it really that bad?
Speaking of the fans, they have been left pondering after watching the “Special Forces” multiplayer trailer, as they were unsure what to make of it, which you can read more about in our recent article. We have also covered some of the many abilities that the characters have in Mass Effect 3 for different classes. Are you convinced that BioWare have done a good enough job to make ME3 the best from the series?
