Skyrim users that have put in hundreds of hours, like us, would either be still addicted or bored a little even though there is still a lot of things to do. We’ve found after more than 300 hours of hands-on time that Skyrim DLC is needed, and we’d like to hear more about the Dwemer or even a step back in time to see what really happened, although we can think about more controversial downloadable content like a multiplayer mode.
Not everyone wants Skyrim DLC just yet and we’ve all got different wish lists, which range from the little things to much bigger innovative requests. Now that patch 1.4 has hit PC and is about to hit PS3 and Xbox 360, what else should Bethesda be working on? It leaves the way clear for Skyrim DLC although some people want Bethesda to start small, and the idea of overdoing the initial downloadable content worries some gamers especially when it comes to ideas like multiplayer that has split fans. Do you feel Skyrim is a single player game and should stay that way?

Can Bethesda really overdo the first Skyrim DLC? They have stated that the official DLC will be like an expansion, and aim to develop downloadable content that makes the game much better. So with this in-mind we expect Bethesda to create content that is massive although some users worry it could be overdone with features that are not needed, such as multiplayer and other ambitions too big for the initial release. Most Skyrim users are willing to pay good money for real DLC and want new content as big as possible, although not everyone shares the same view on certain features and some PS3 and Xbox 360 users want smaller DLC like seen as mods for PC users.
Taking a look at what the user really wants – We’ve taken a look at some of the most requested Skyrim DLC, which have been gathered over the last few weeks from In Entertainment readers.
Not to be too greedy – some people point out an expansion that includes a lot in one package would be good and point to Morrowind. Explaining that Skyrim could have a huge expansion with smaller DLC included, and ideas include a wizard’s tower or castle, new armor/weapons and stand-alone quests inside the bigger expansions.
New places other than Skyrim – some gamers don’t want to go back where they’ve been before, although other people want just that and have a big list of ideas like visiting an old area (Vanderfall) but 200 years later for a whole new experience. Some of the most popular places gamers want to go include Morrowind and Cyrodiil, or Hammerfell with something along the lines of Shivering Isles.
Something a lot more tactical and adding more depth to Skyrim – Those of our readers that have completed the main quest might be feeling like us, and dream of becoming a Jarl that would allow you to run somewhere like Whiterun. Imagine what you could do with your home then (Dragonsreach), and the tactical decisions you could make? This would not be for everyone although we’re sure there are a number of ways DLC could add more depth, control and tactics within Skyrim.
Features that were there before and need to return via DLC – We’ve heard about a few things that users want back in Skyrim, which includes the ability to make spells. There could be a number a reasons this didn’t make it by the release date, although some gamers imagine DLC that includes a detailed spell creation system. Can you think of anything that is missing and needs to return from previous Elder Scrolls?
Marriage is something we want expanded in Skyrim – It might not be for everyone in the real world but when it comes to Skyrim some of us want more marriage options. It would be good if you could choose where to get married and also Skyrim DLC could add more people to marry, and other ideas we’ve seen include the possibility of people becoming available to marry after their spouse dies like Adrianne. Let us know your ideas on more marriage options in Skyrim?
Other random ideas for downloadable content include new weapon types like spears/pikes, new functions like dragon riding and playable instruments, new houses in Falkreath/Dawnstar/Morthal and new factions.
There are other concerns about how quick Bethesda launch the Skyrim DLC, and it’s the view of some people that anything under four months would be too quick. We’d like to see the DLC in the first half of 2012 but would obviously not like anything rushed. When would you like the downloadable content to drop?
Do you feel like the majority of Skyrim users and think an “Online Skyrim” would ruin the game, or could you see something with small lobbies of friends and co-op designed quests?
