Upcoming Diablo 3 looks set to have some limitations as far as support and features are concerned and we are interested to find out what can be construed as drawbacks to this anticipated title. We also have some news in regards to beta keys and invites.
With Diablo 3 only supporting 4-player co-op and no future plans for a 5-player mode there will also be no higher resolution textures along with a lack of built in voice chat at the launch. In an article on DSOGaming, Blizzard’s Community Manager was available to answer some of the questions but he still did not offer a release date although it seems to be sometime in 2012. Bashiok said that no higher resolution textures will be there in the final game and that Blizzard needs to see if the built-in voice chat is really worthwhile before this is used in further titles.

A new skill system will be available on the beta along with a patch adding a certain amount of class changes. An expansion could be on the cards as well as plans to have a digital download. Gamers expect Diablo 3 to play well and contain a good story to make up for the limitations and have expressed comments of disappointment, some feel that all these restrictions could mean a release in next to no time while others are still excited and looking forward to playing this, disregarding any negative points.
Last week we informed our readers on a phishing warning for new Diablo 3 beta keys and the continuation of invites being sent out, we also looked at some positives to do with stuff being taken out in favor of other improvements. Blizzard may defend its decision to send invites in North America but many gamers have been upset by this action, are you one of them?
GameZone has reported on what Blizzard regards as the best way to suit their testing requirements, 100,000 invites were sent out last week for North American gamers to try out the Diablo III beta, which was good news for them but it also ostracized gamers everywhere else. Blizzard community manager Nakatoir has said this was not about picking favorites and more about inviting local, low-latency testers to get them maximum results. No beta invites have been expected for Europe although this is not totally out of the question.
What do you think on the limitations of Diablo 3? Are you looking forward to the full release of Diablo 3?
