Uncharted 3 issues fixed with Patch 1.05
The gameplay experience in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has had some improvements with Patch 1.05 that has been available since yesterday on the PlayStation store, we are interested in the fixed issues and the details involved as this patch contains the required technical hooks for Flashback Map Pack #2.
The patch must be downloaded to access upcoming DLC through online or on LAN Party and information on this is available in a report on Naughty Dog.com. Presenting integrated bandwidth testing for hosts, this will allow only users with optimum connections to be eligible to become game hosts, which will improve gameplay for everyone. Issues where some players of a party would be left in the lobby while others went into Matchmaking and played matches have been rectified. The medal fixes for Fort, Adventure Mode specific medals and all icons now show up suitably and medals can be acquired.
Reaction to these fixes have been welcomed by many as the issue with leaving people behind was irritating although some have commented about the lagging G-MAL and whether this will be fixed by the patch, others want to see some new trophies and an Elimination mode along with some fixes for London and treasure dropping in Matchmaking. On the Naughty Dog website, an upcoming new game type is discussed for Uncharted 3 Multiplayer as well as details on the Flashback Map Pack 2 DLC for $9.99 or your currency equivalent, which will allow users to play on their favorite maps.
Maps involve the Plaza, Temple, Village, and Train Wreck with great new dynamic lighting effects and various touch ups. For access to all of the DLC content available for Uncharted 3 a good idea would be to become a member of the Fortune Hunters’ Club via the PS Store, for $24.99 all 14 packs of DLC content will be available free including upcoming packs. News of upcoming downloadable content in the form of a fresh new game type for Uncharted 3 multiplayer will be on its way in March and is known as the Co-Op Shade Survival Mode.
Last week we wrote about Naughty Dog splitting their team of developers in two, one half working on The Last of Us and suggestions were made that the other half could be involved in Uncharted 4. To see the Uncharted 3 Flashback Map Pack number 2 view the trailer below.
