Assassin’s Creed 3 Update or Vita release expected
Tomorrow Ubisoft has said they plan to make an announcement regarding details on Assassin’s Creed although we are uncertain what game they mean, it could be to do with the PS Vita version or more information to do with the release of Assassin’s Creed 3?
We have already discussed the release details for the next console version of the popular franchise so we are uncertain what Ubisoft would want to talk about, maybe the setting but the smart money would be on the PS Vita version of Assassin’s Creed, which is said to be coming earlier than expected.
There’s currently no date for its release but we have recently learned that it could be late 2012 or early 2013, knowing that the console version of the latest Assassin’s Creed is being released at the end of October maybe this would be the perfect time to launch both games simultaneously?
It’s been said that the series has lost its magic over the years, so we hoped the version on the PS Vita will help to breathe some new life into it because this would offer new ways to play the game. It’s hard to know if AC for the Vita will be a standalone version or will be a port of what has already been released, but we hope to find out more tomorrow?
As for AC 3 we have to worry about the timing of it’s release because it will only be a year after the previous version, which to some gamers is not enough time to make a truly remarkable game, something that the Call of Duty series is now suffering from.
Now that we know Assassin’s Creed 3 is coming the speculation turns to the story and more importantly the settings and there have already been some great suggestions in this article. The first and always a favorite with these type of games is Egypt, and there are many eras to choose from but 1257 AD will be keeping with previous events.
North America has never been visited so it’s just a matter of time and maybe that time is now? Two other possibilities are China or Russia but we believe the former has the greater appeal because of the rich history of the country.
Which of these settings would you choose or do you have another choice? What do you think the Assassin’s Creed announcement will be about?

The thing that annoys mean is how people seem to forget that there are different development teams responsible for the different assassin's creed games. So even though it will only be a year in-between the games, this new game has been in-development for 3 years. It should be a good game and I doubt they would go back past ezio's time period for the third game.
I feel The civil war would be a great time in american history to place the assassin's creed plot into. It's a time when technology isn't thriving as much keeping some of the weapons such as swords and knifes around, while utilizing improved gear. It's a time when cities have been constructed to a good size to climb around on like in previous games. And not to mention a great plot for the north vs south, or assassin's vs templars..
This game has been in development for 3years. the producer , the italian guy. i have no clue what his name is confirmed the game has been in development for 3 years. so we should expect something better then them just millking it
French revaluation would be good, lots of ways they could incorporate the assassins and Templars there .
I believe the American Revolution setting is perfect, there is a huge amount of Templar and free masons history in its background and I doubt ubisoft would take a step back to before the time of Ezio or Altair for the 3rd game, it may lead to plotholes and there have been a lot of hints from AC2 and Brotherhood
