Rewards in latest Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC
The latest downloadable content for Final Fantasy XIII-2 is now available through Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network and this is the second DLC that offers rewards for completing the storyline for the new episode. Our aim is to find out what is involved in this new content and take a look at Sazh’s Heads or Tails Trailer.
In the new episode players get the opportunity to take control of Sazh, a character you may recognize from Final Fantasy XIII. In an article on Gamershell, they write about this announcement from Square Enix and on the story that runs alongside the narrative of the main game, as once this is complete players will get the opportunity to add Sazh to their party. In addition the DLC also contains two new card games, Serendipity Poker and Chronobind, which are added to the Serendipity area from Chapter 2.
The initial DLC is mentioned on Gaming Age and for $2.99 through PSN or 240 points on Xbox 360, this content allows users to access a new battle in the Coliseum to take on both Lightning and Lt. Amodar, a character from the original XIII. The cost of this was reflected in the size of this content and nothing about the story was enlightened here either, although this is a nice taster of future DLC to come.
That said Gaming Age feel that the actual fight isn’t easy as more time than skill is required yet this content is appropriately challenging. Amador takes on the Commando position and Lightning is a Ravager and fighting these two is inspired by them dropping their monster crystals, this will give you the opportunity to add them to your party as they are both useful. Only one issue was found and that was leveling against the content as that the drop rate for their monster crystals is not good and obtaining these crystals takes some time.
Overall, this DLC was appreciated but did not overly impress even though they are still anticipating further content with expections of a bit more depth in future add-ons. A few weeks ago we wrote a post on FF XIII-2 DLC providing fun but also problems although this was more to do with buying added content for a character that is in the trailers and on the cover, which is totally understandable.
