Halo 4 multiplayer and specifics withheld
Microsoft Spring Showcase was held a couple of weeks back now and details was only allowed to filter out after GDC 12 and for some it was seen as a bit of an ant-climax, we say this because it was hoped that far more would be shared in regards to Halo 4 than actually was. However there were one or two features shared such as multiplayer but other important specifics were withheld from us.
Having already discussed Halo 4′s multiplayer and its AI potential it is also great to see Battle Rifle making a welcome return, but we are still left in the dark with the specific details regarding multiplayer and now have to wait until E3 2012 in the hope of learning more.
The developers must have a good reason to hold back these specifics but what these are we don’t know, but we can be sure that something special is coming when you consider this will probably be the last halo game of the current platform because the next version will be on a next-gen console.
343 Industries has to consider two things with Halo 4, the first is that they cannot let the franchise down and the second is the fact that gaming has changed since the franchise first started and while some gamers suggest Halo now needs to get back to its roots, the developer has to do so while making it standup by today’s standards.
An article here says that executive producer of Halo 4, Kiki Wolfkill, said that the new game will have a greater emphasis on the story along with the main character as well, which is good because this is the kind of direction so many games are now going in.
The hype surrounding Halo 4 is huge and it had been hoped that a public beta would be on the cards, but this article reports that Frank O’ Connor from 343 Industries said that they have no plans as yet to do such a thing, we would love to know your thoughts on this.
