New Uncharted reveal coming, social campaign possibility
News of an Uncharted reveal coming tomorrow March 22, at 20:59 has got many gamers speculating what to expect, and PlayStation Norway’s Facebook account has opened up many possibilities for rumors to escalate as this page features Norwegian explorer Fridtjof Nansen with the word “uutforsket” slapped across the front of it, translated this actually means “unexplored”.
Fridtjof Nansen is known to have explored Greenland and visited the North Pole between 1893 and 1896, he died in 1930, and a report on VG24/7 talks about this image on PlayStation Norway shown on Facebook. This tagline gives reason to believe this has something to do with Uncharted especially with the type of music playing and the map seen in the background, and with the date above marked as a reveal they have tried to get in touch with Sony for confirmation. It has been noted that something like this happened with Sony Denmark before the release of Uncharted 3.
VG24/7 also mention that a social campaign could give gamers the opportunity to follow the adventures of fiction Danish explorer Wilhelm Von Bernhoff in a bid to uncover hidden treasures. Some responses have pointed this being a possible competition, as Naughty Dog has other commitments and another Uncharted release this soon is very unlikely yet a social campaign for Golden Abyss could be a possibility.
In other related news, The Sixth Axis has a report on the Uncharted 3 Multiplayer receiving a live update and even though it will not change the title drastically, hardcore gamers will welcome it. The increase of medals needed to spawn an instant shotgun and a higher price for all four paid boosters will add to the experience. The changes include Mega Bomb kickback from 14 medals to 10 to activate, Fleet Foot speed levels adjusted, Ping and Bargain now cost 100K, Untraceable for 35K, Explosive Expert for 25K, changed Shotgun kickback cost increased by +2 medals. Other additions include the Creepy Crawler kickback cost lowered by -1 medal along with the fixed drop of the Patterned Ring at the end of London Underground.
There should also be another patch in the next few weeks to go in line with the upcoming map pack and a few weeks back we informed our readers on some of the new DLC including the final 14th coming in April. What do you think about the possibility of a social campaign?
